If you don't have any breadcrumbs or flour, you can just put your meat goo (here it's pork, but it can be made from duck or rabbit or goose) in jar. Mmmm, minced offal and fat!

my parents told me to never order DUMPLINGS! in a chinese take-out place, because they usually used the cheapest protein to fill them

Also, the Lion's Heads I've had are assuredly no worse than most sausages and cheap proteins are often delicious!

I offhandedly said something to my mother-in-law this weekend about how we should go on a scrapple safari while she was visiting that caused an uninterrupted five minutes of cackling laughter. I never got to try any scrapple.

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 14:02 (thirteen years ago)

dan if you're ever in the area we'll get down on some scrapple.

that makes it sound like we're gonna build a dancefloor out of scrapple and freak dance. but we can do that too if you're into it.

Two words: fat washing.

Two more words: FUCK no.

Ivana Boob-Reduction (j.lu), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:15 (thirteen years ago)

bacon-infused bourbon? fuck YES

Josef K-Doe (WmC), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:17 (thirteen years ago)

it's really odd j.lu, somehow your "yes" looks like a "no" in this font

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:17 (thirteen years ago)

Flavoring liquor with scrapple strikes me as a criminal waste of alcohol (although I would try the baconated bourbon). There are sober people in Asia!!!

Ivana Boob-Reduction (j.lu), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:20 (thirteen years ago)

you know i'm thinking a strip of scrapple in a bloody mary would be just a-ok

apichathong song (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:20 (thirteen years ago)

if I could deal with bloody marys that might be a great idea

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:21 (thirteen years ago)

fry that scrapple until it's firm enough to use as a swizzle stick

Josef K-Doe (WmC), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:22 (thirteen years ago)

what is your beef with the bloody mary? i make a mean bloody mary imho.

apichathong song (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:22 (thirteen years ago)

I love everything about the idea of a bloody mary... except for the tomato juice

tomato juice is just gross and awful, I can't abide it at all

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:31 (thirteen years ago)

what if i subbed in mayo?

apichathong song (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:33 (thirteen years ago)

PERFECTO

actually I read somewhere that ppl sometimes sub in grapefruit juice? which basically sounds like my platonic ideal of what an alcoholic drink should be

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:34 (thirteen years ago)

haha it sounds like a nipsy russell with vodka

apichathong song (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:35 (thirteen years ago)

!!! zomg you are right

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:37 (thirteen years ago)

it is my contention that any drink can be made better by making it spicy. ymmv.

apichathong song (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:38 (thirteen years ago)

I have believed that theorem since discovering the jalepeno margarita

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:40 (thirteen years ago)

I wish you guys could experience the habanero margarita I had in New Mexico last year.

Josef K-Doe (WmC), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:44 (thirteen years ago)

there's a place not too far from me that has a drink called "The Martini From Hell"

it is made with scotch bonnet-infused vodka

they actively discourage people from ordering it, but won't take it off the menu

I got a shot of the vodka once just to see how hot it was... and it was fucking unbelievably hot

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:46 (thirteen years ago)

would order.

apichathong song (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:47 (thirteen years ago)

it is my intent to consume at least one before the end of the year, no matter what the server/bartender says

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:48 (thirteen years ago)

scotch bonnets are NO JOKE though. i remember one of the first times i got jamaican food, years and years ago now, they had some kinda scotch bonnet that i mistook for regular ol' american piss water hot sauce. pretty sure i sounded like sloth from the goonies for the next two days.

apichathong song (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:49 (thirteen years ago)

tbh that is the only thing that terrifies me; eating hot food is painful enough 36 hours later, I can't imagine having hot drinks going through me

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Monday, 25 July 2011 15:51 (thirteen years ago)
