i'm gonna go with ke$ha, since i've never read/seen anything harry potter, haven't been on an airplane in probably five years, haven't grinded on anyone while dancing since middle school, and my love of non-designer cupcakes has both priced me out of skinny jeans and begun to expand my own middle.

oh man, i have definitely been to a place like this, if not the same place. "dirt-ass" is definitely the way to describe it. and yeah, at the one i went to they had one stand that sold tons of old magazines, just everything conceivable, from old sewing magazines or whatever, to a huge section in the back devoted to skin mags. and another store devoted entirely to belt buckles. place was weird.

Men in Skinny Jeans sticks out as not like the others to me here -- it seems more like a vaguely euro affectation that will probably run its course here very soon. The others seem much more typically American in the "stuff that people who complain about America complain about" way.

anyway I picked Ke$sha -- if I had to kill six of these and spare one I'd spare her.

fwiw the wikipedia article on cupcakes gives the impression that both the invention and the resurgence of the cupcake originated in America, although the article isn't completely clear, so you may be experiencing it as an American export.
