My brother had to wear them, he struggled with weight as a kid. Once we went shopping and his waist had hit 36 - he insisted on walking all the way home, and this was on vacation. The walk home was 10-15 miles!
He became anorexic after that! Kids are so mean.

Just last night I finished Fred Barthelme's Waveland. Toward the very end the main guy is thinking of his childhood and how he wore "Husky" jeans. To add insult to injury, you couldn't get jeans your size from the "right brand" of jeans. They wouldn't lower themselves to make husky jeans.

i definitely wore husky jeans
― max, Tuesday, 26 July 2011 18:58 (fourteen years ago)

I didn't even weigh over 100 lbs. until I was a junior in high school.

― ice cr?m, Tuesday, 26 July 2011 19:45 (fourteen years ago)

Those aren't plus size though - I mean they may go up into plus sizes but they make them from size 2 up as far as I know. My mom loves them.
― ladies love draculas like children love stray dogs (ENBB), Tuesday, 26 July 2011 19:57 (fourteen years ago)
I am imagining exactly what your body shape would have to be in order to be a size 2 yet still wear plus-sized jeans
I think it would require having double-buttocks
― PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Tuesday, 26 July 2011 19:58 (fourteen years ago)
man, what the hell is a size 2 doing in momjeans?
― apihopatcong weehawkul (get bent), Tuesday, 26 July 2011 19:59 (fourteen years ago)
lol yeah they're not plus size they're just marketed for older ladies I think
