The best present I ever received was probably...hmmm. My mom bought me a big snowglobe that plays music, it's got all the Alice in Wonderland characters. It doesn't seem like a great gift but it was very out of the blue, she knew that it was one of my favorites and saw it and spent a lot on it. Otherwise I was given the New Art Riot EP by my parents - I was shocked, I still can't figure out how they remembered from years ago that I was wanting it. Basically both showed a lot of thought. Oh, and my sister making me Pokemon PJs was very cute.
The worst present I ever received was...well. Okay, let me preface this by saying it wasn't a bad present, it was the accompanying attitude that made it a bad present. In theory, a fancy massager is a great present for me, and I loved it at first. Until I started asking then-boyfriend to use it on me. "I bought you that so I'd never have to rub your back again", he says, without a drop of irony or sarcasm or humor. He was serious. It was the most unromantic and cruel Christmas gift possible, in light of that. Not only that but how the hell do you rub your own back with those things?! You'll put it out further trying to contort!
The best present I ever gave was easily the Derek Jeter autograph I got for my grandmother. She was so happy I thought she was going to cry. Except now she and my cousin, who is brain damaged and can't remember things, fight over whose autograph it is, he says I gave it to HIM which is just clearly untrue.
The worst present I ever gave was a Palm Pilot to aforementioned massage ex. Not because it was a bad present but because it still pisses me off that I spent that money on it.

Best I gave was (to the koala boy) 2 tickets to see Villa play. He loves Villa and was skint. I had never been to a footie match. The bastard then took his brother to the match (oh you can't have girls in the Holt End Emma they wouldn't be allowed and anyway you'll just embarrass me). Ungrateful sod. Worst - probably some crappy old tie or socks to my dad or grandpa.

The worst is of course any book i have not asked for. Most people see me read often and eccleticly and assume i will read anything. reading a book on neon art and next reading russian poetry makes people think i will read a dry history of the Lindbergh Kidnapping or a history of pub signs.
