Viet D. Dinh (Vietnamese: Đinh Đồng Phụng Việt; born February 22, 1968) is a lawyer and a conservative legal scholar[1] who served as an Assistant Attorney General of the United States from 2001 to 2003, under the presidency of George W. Bush. Born in Saigon,[2] in the former South Vietnam, he was the chief architect of the USA PATRIOT Act.

Natalie Bancroft (b. circa 1980) is a member of the board of directors of News Corporation.[1]

She is a member of the Bancroft family, which controlled the Dow Jones media empire for decades.[1] She studied journalism, and graduated from the Institut de Ribaupierre in Lausanne, Switzerland.[1] She is also a professionally trained opera singer.[1][2][3][4][5]

In 1996, Perkins was convicted in France of involuntary manslaughter arising from a yacht-racing collision, forcing him to pay $10,000 fine.[14]

In 2006, Thornton funded the establishment of the John L. Thornton China Center at the The Brookings Institution.[2]

In 2009, he also became a member of the International Advisory Council of the Chinese sovereign wealth fund China Investment Corporation.[3

Carey received his bachelors degree from Colgate University and an MBA from Harvard, where he was a member of the Harvard Business School Rugby Club.

Carey first came to work with Fox, a News Corp holding, in 1988.[2] Over the course of the following decade he served as COO of Fox, Inc., and CEO of Fox Broadcasting. During this time he helped launch both Fox Sports and FoxNews.

Perkins resigned from HP's board on May 18, 2006, over the actions taken by the board's chair, Patricia C. Dunn, to ferret out the board-level source of media leaks using methods Perkins considered unethical and possibly illegal. HP gave no cause in the SEC-required 8-K filing, and according to Perkins refused to amend the filing to indicate his reasons for resigning.[5] In response, Perkins disclosed his reasons publicly, triggering an SEC investigation and significant media interest into HP's leak-finding activities.[6][7]

Perkins's residential phone records were obtained through a method known as pretexting. AT&T confirmed that someone pretended to be Perkins, using his phone number and his Social Security Number.[8]

In January 2006, Perkins published his first romance novel, Sex and the Single Zillionaire, (ISBN 0-06-085167-8) which he dedicated to [ex-wife Danielle] Steel. The plot of the book is based on a reality TV idea which was pitched to Perkins, where he would date a series of women and choose one to marry. He claims that "no 'ghost' did the writing." Proceeds from the book will be donated to Harvard University.[13]
