So, I just quit my job last week. I start my new one in a few. Hurrah!
But, before I go, I need to make sure I have removed any possible opportunity that my replacement will have to access any of my personal information via the internet.
I have done online banking and bill payments regularly, as well as sent and received home loan documents over web-based email. Nothing more than that.
Suggestions? I trust the folks in this office pretty highly - they're all pretty ethical people - but I don't know who I'll be replacing, so I would like to protect myself as much as possible.
Thanks!

Can you uninstall your browser? I browse on Opera, so when I leave, I just delete the browser! Heh. Best of luck!

I certainly can uninstall my browser. Will that take care of all of my potential problems?
the "nuke my hard drive" option would probably create some bad feelings over here.

i don't know how big your workplace is but you should check with your IT department--they may do some standard cleaning if the comp is going from one employee to another.

Small law firm, and I'm on really good terms with the IT guy. I'll ask him what the story is. He'll help me out. Good call, CAD.
I've been using Firefox.

I don't know about your place, but our IT has standard boot image they install after anyone leaves anyway. Mine would probably never notice a dban, let alone mind at all if they did.

Yeah I would think - esp in a law firm - it'd be standard for IT to reformat the drive and do a system reinstall.

If you were using Firefox, the profiles stay on the computer even if you uninstall. Find that and delete it.
Ccleaner program might be helpful to erase all deleted files and program usage tracks.
