Grafitti is good. It colours up the rows of concrete that have been raised by the capitalists.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 28 August 2002 18:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, where to begin.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 28 August 2002 18:23 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate bubblicious font ripoffs and "druid font" so I hate most of it. I like creativity above all like in Montreal I like Omen, the rabbit heads (long time no see), the one with the lips and smoke, the lonley tentacle is kind of cool, the stencyl of a girl's head that could be in ladytron. And a couple of others. I'd like to see more Nietzsche quotes.

too bad pure graffiti's Battle Board is down or I would say "LET'S BATTLE!"

Graffiti is classic. Don't go biting my letters.

Before the internet, I used to get into graffiti wars with right-wing graffitistas. I miss those days - the billboards on the subways were covered with our debates. One day, I went to the train station to find a post-it: 'Let's meet and discuss this in person'. Yeah, right.

Kerry (dymaxia), Wednesday, 28 August 2002 18:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, where were you? I waited for 30 minutes.

Me and Rakim used to double team back in the day when I was a toy.

I have no idea what that sentence means.

Not too long ago on the construction site of the future "cité du commerce électronique" someone made a tag using this style and it made my week!

I don't think it really is graffiti, but there's this little car park in Dunedin (Stuart St up from records records and beside that little dairy) where each park has the names of philosophers stencilled in white paint. But they wrote "Hagel" not "Hegel". But still.

Someone has been going around drawing rabbits on the ads in all the metro stations. Am trying to figure out if it is related to the "Dieu est un grand lapin" seen a few months ago.

Miss Laura, Thursday, 29 August 2002 07:03 (twenty-three years ago)

spectra those belong to the horrible boys school! (currently staying in upper stuart street so I see it all the time).

the "God Save The Clean" graffiti is grebt, & the Nandor portait is interesting . . . also, the "I know who wrote this" in the alleyway by the Meridian.

However, destroy all the fundamentalist xtian chalk that was around the campus, blarg.

Ess Kay (esskay), Thursday, 29 August 2002 07:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes and of course they try to be enigmatic.(the xtians)

Noticed Smiths lyric graffiti in the main Arc toilet today ("You have Keats and Yeats on your side, but Wilde is on mine").

i stick pac man stickers places. well, i only just started. they're totally removable, so it's like passive grafitti. they're home made, obv. i don't go to the pac man shop every week.

g-kit (g-kit), Friday, 30 August 2002 08:24 (twenty-three years ago)

do you remember all those "Pierced?" sketches/slogans etc around campus last year that were so ambiguous everyone thought they were done by the Underground Market or something, but were in fact the handiwork of "haha Jesus was pierced . . . ON THE CROSS!!!" xtians? creepy.
