Why am I still here at 9 PM?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 28 August 2002 23:06 (twenty-three years ago)

because you started at 1PM or later? If that's not the correct answer you are insane.

Yay, the wonderful world of "dev"

Working from 8:45 AM to 9:45 PM; dud or shoot me?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 29 August 2002 01:52 (twenty-three years ago)

(c) all of the above

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 29 August 2002 02:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Definitely dud, and have a beer then go to sleep. Do you at least get to go in late tomorrow?

lyra (lyra), Thursday, 29 August 2002 02:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Jeez, Dan, it's like you work at Microsoft or something

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 29 August 2002 02:14 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh fuck - If Dan's job is dud/microserfish and he's finishing at 9pm, what does that say about mine?! = I've worked until 1 or 2 am every weeknight for the last 3 months and most weekends as well.

But here's the the thing which is completely dud: working on salary (which I do).

debaser (debaser), Thursday, 29 August 2002 02:34 (twenty-three years ago)

I've heard MS described by people as "you can work any 60 hours a week that you want" which just sounds nuts. Really, if you think about it- that's working something like 9 AM to 9 PM everyday. Or 9 AM to 8 PM every weekday, then 5 hours on a Saturday! When are you supposed to have a life in a schedule like that?

My personal dud: getting paged awake at 3 or 4 AM. yick.

Remeber the good old days when you had to work in the factory sunup to sundown ?

Mike Hanle y (mike), Thursday, 29 August 2002 02:49 (twenty-three years ago)

True... we are pretty spoiled these days.

Self-employment is the greatest.

You can masturbate openly, and no one will tell you to "put that thing away, you vile horrible beast," and call the sexual-harassment commission and have all those tedious trials and things.

Professional sperm donator?

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 29 August 2002 05:21 (twenty-three years ago)

''Why am I still here at 9 PM?''

well...I was doing experiments until 1 am in toronto (though i do wake up later, in fact I prefer those hours since there aren't many distractions).

though in london I can't do that as the trains stop at about midnight (i think). Have to look into that.

Dan's ultimate job!

You must escape this work prison Mr. Perry. Should you be stuck in that kind of day when we all visit, let us know and we'll launch a commando attack to break you out -- ze crack ILX SWAT team.

You forgot "(hand)".

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 29 August 2002 16:09 (twenty-three years ago)
