i scowled at some a couple of days ago.

they deserved it

to be perfectly truthful i would still eat them in a pinch but i wouldn't relish them.

i find myself in a health food store a lot bc one is v near my house. a couple of weeks ago, i bought a bag of guacamole-flavoured chips. they were disgusting. but over the course of three days, i ate them all.

The regular tortilla ones are good but I like the sweet potato ones too. The olive, however, are my favorite.

Anyone! Please describe what attributes a chip must have in order to be "healthy". This sorely puzzles me.

I admit to a preference for organically-grown, non-GMO corn as the basis for any tortilla chip I eat, but not because I think it will especially bolster my own personal health more emphatically than eating chips made from corn raised by a factory farm. I tend to think this is more a matter of the health of the soil in which the corn is grown than any obvious effect on my own health or longevity.

my local health food store is small, dusty and desolate and when you buy bulk items you're supposed to write the code number on the thin paper bags but all the pencils need sharpening and the eavesdropper's only reward is an earnest cataloguing of someone's vague unalarming symptoms.

i do go to a whole foods for lunch often. that is SUCH a racket of junk food dressed up as "healthy" it is scary.

I had some kale chips recently (not really chips, just leaves that are fried or something to get a certain crispness) and they weren't bad, but that's probably because of the salt.

i've been trying to think of an answer to aimless's question but i don't know what the attributes of "healthy" chips are except that maybe they have to be joyless and/or ridiculous. but even using those guidelines i propose that any chip made out of a leaf is not a chip, it's a salty fried leaf.

whereas the sweet leaf is more interesting.
