The movie 50/50, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Back Cancer, Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick

anyone else seen it?

definitely one of my favorite movies of the year, totally worth seeing, especially as a date movie as it's fairly funny but also has some real tearjerking moments

also, Seth Rogan does not destroy this movie

Movie's saving grace is without a doubt Anjelica Huston, she kills in every scene

it was pretty good, an unusually balanced mix of pathos and comedy. altho duh yeah didn't think for a second that dude would actually die

*SPOILERS*

Huston's scene in the hospital talking to Kendrick was the best.

some good stuff here but largely kind of sitcom but not in a terrible way

well one of the press releases said it was based on the screenwriter's life, so that's kinda spoiled already

some really good scenes in this though, especially the scene late in the movie where he's by himself in his car, that's one of the most emotional things I've ever seen on screen. everything with the other cancer patients was great too.
