The mail came yesterday. One of the items was a package.. I thought to myself " Bugga! You not expetin nothin frim eebay!?" . Then I saw, it was the shape of a cd, and it was from the land of Tea and Sympathy. Nick Das toor has sent me the orange juice cd, as promised. I rushed to my stereo and was instanly in heaven at full volume. How can a man give enough thanks for such an act?

A little dance?

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 1 September 2002 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Can we make this thread about Nick's cover version of Hero, which, rumor is, the court injunction he took out against the release of the master tapes expires soon.

Sources describe the recording as "sassy".

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 1 September 2002 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Did he tape a cocoa puff to his face to look like Enrique?

Nicole (Nicole), Sunday, 1 September 2002 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

nicole, i have never spontaneously proposed marriage before, but that comment almost made me.

jess (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 1 September 2002 13:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Bigamist!

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 1 September 2002 13:39 (twenty-two years ago)

That has always been the ultimate goal, to maintain a small harem of meng. But not N., if he isn't willing to go the extra mile with the cocoa puff.

Nicole (Nicole), Sunday, 1 September 2002 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Like that's all that stands in your way.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 1 September 2002 13:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't try to cover up your disappointment with bravado, young Mr. Dastoor.

Nicole (Nicole), Sunday, 1 September 2002 13:54 (twenty-two years ago)

ill sleep with nick.

anthony easton (anthony), Monday, 2 September 2002 05:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I was hoping this thread would be about Nick saving a small child from drowning or something. But no.

Tom (Groke), Monday, 2 September 2002 07:07 (twenty-two years ago)

nor is he in the new firefighters calendar.

Alan (Alan), Monday, 2 September 2002 07:15 (twenty-two years ago)

You're not my hero, you haven't started a new c-razy moral dilemma thread which you promised me.

Graham (graham), Monday, 2 September 2002 13:12 (twenty-two years ago)

We don't need another hero.

Andrew L (Andrew L), Monday, 2 September 2002 13:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, why thank you! My inbox is now free from evil, how ever can I repay you? No, no don't fly away.

Swooning citizen, Monday, 2 September 2002 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

When I first saw him my heart reached out for him

Mike Hanle y (mike), Monday, 2 September 2002 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 3 September 2002 14:04 (twenty-two years ago)

There once was a small boy named Dastor
who was sent to the East by his pastor.
The empire's bright sun
put a burn on his bum
so he covered it up with a plaster.

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 3 September 2002 14:23 (twenty-two years ago)

My Nick Dastoor limerick:

There was a young man called Dastoor
Who had a remarkable jaw
You could say his chin
Was inordinately thin
And hence often got stuck in the door.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 3 September 2002 14:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Adorable, clever Nabisco
has contacts from Minsk back to Frisco:
they feed him the newses
he happily uses
to pick on poor Nick like he's Sisquo.

Nicky Dubbs......what to say about him......when I first came to ILX, I had never heard the last name "Dastoor" before, and I assumed N. was taliban or something......but it turns out he's a very waiflike white man......but from the dapper way this cat swings on ILX, it is so utterly obvious that although he may be pale and skinny, underneath his clothes his penis is assuredly a stout, towering obelisk of deepest ebony.....how you livin, Nick?

Ramosi, Saturday, 7 September 2002 20:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I continue to assume N. is Taliban.

Nicole (Nicole), Sunday, 8 September 2002 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick's got a harem like arabian muthafuckas........when his manservant peels him a grape, Nick's like, "peel it again" and when the manservant says "that's physically impossib--" Nick just shoots him in the face.......he's got it like that....

Ramosi, Monday, 9 September 2002 22:35 (twenty-two years ago)

A year after forming the platinum-selling Everything But The Girl, Watt released his first solo album. The critically acclaimed North Marine Drive went to Number One on the UK indie charts and includes the Bob Dylan cover "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go." This reissue of the long out-of-print album adds five bonus collaborations with composer Robert Wyatt.
