No way man Chick-O-Stix were all over my childhood, meaning they were all over Idaho and Utah and Wyoming. They were and are one of only two candies my mom likes. I liked Atkinson's peanut butter bars, too, by the same company.

i have a bad association with caramellos. i had to sell them to raise money for choir trips and i didn't get enough people to buy 'em by the deadline. cut to: parents covering the difference, me swimming in a pile of sticky candy wrappers and generally not feelin' too good.

We always had a box of coffee nips in the car when we went on a road trip when I was a kid. I have no idea why because we never had them anywhere else.

i don't even understand candy anymore, my dad bought these variety packs of all kinds of different candy, and i was like "oh no we don't have enough snickers and chocolate stuff, the kids'll be stuck with the bubble gum and pixy stix." and then 80% of the kids who came went apeshit over the bubble gum and pixy stix! so disillusioned.

the kids got Baby Ruth Crisps tonight & were pumped & I was lolling @ the branding b/c really what does a Baby Ruth have to do with a peanut butter Kit Kat? actually that sounds good!

Now & Laters were hot currency at my elementary school for a while; in my town in Florida the only place you could get them was with the ice cream man which gave them a frisson of danger

later we could buy them en masse at Pace Warehouse & tbh the thrill was gone, replaced with teeth stuck together
