dense macabre (DJP), Thursday, 3 November 2011 17:40 (thirteen years ago)

no less hilarious than during Obama's first campaign, when FOX NEWS seemed to be seriously proposing that 60s radicals, Chicago underworld figures, Al-Qaeda, and Oprah were all in league to take away Americans' freedoms....

Clicked on the source they provide for the Nazi party link - Mediamatters - and the report makes fun of exactly this kind of list:

"So, does this mean that Obama is just like the Nazis, or that Bush shares Al Qaeda's goals, or that McCain is a black nationalist? Of course not. These are all ridiculous associations to make. Fringe groups make provocative comments like this all the time, often in the interest of attracting publicity. The right-wing media's promotion of Suhayda's statement reveals an agenda that is dead-set on delegitimizing the message of the protests, to the extent that they're willing to employ comically flimsy logic in an attempt to do so."

http://mediamatters.org/blog/201110180001

They should probably link to a source that doesn't call them ridiculous.

Reading about the Wobblies at the moment so voting for those guys.

Science, you guys. Science. (DL), Thursday, 3 November 2011 18:56 (thirteen years ago)

I just saw that. What a maroon! He zigged when everybody zagged. Going on the list. Anybody who ends up on it, deserves it.

And Eric Cantor, too. Which just shows you how hermetically sealed the beltway it. They actually are swallowing that MSM cum about the public supporting them.

goole, Thursday, 3 November 2011 20:45 (thirteen years ago)

i love when someone asks in the comments thread where the unions are and the writer is like, "oh yeah i'm working on that"

Mordy, Thursday, 3 November 2011 20:49 (thirteen years ago)

i bet you cd draw up an awesome rainbow coalition of people and organisations who are agin OWS

Agyness Dei (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 3 November 2011 20:51 (thirteen years ago)

i think an actually complete list of OWS supporters would not only dwarf the few fringy organizations that would give OWS a bad name but would in aggregate speak very powerfully for OWS's message
