It seems like they let too many people through in the first episode. Aren't there two groups left plus the bubble people? For five spots?

Even if it's just one group + bubble that seems a little unfair to the third group.

yeah i was talking about that w/ my brother -- there has to have been some discussion b/w the producers and judges before all of this so that they didn't end up with like 23 ppl w/ chef coats

it's weird that apparently they were like "okay for this season let's pretend like the first two episodes were produced by simon cowell" -- i guess any excuse they can get to make more episodes

this season seems like it kinda came out of nowhere

weird seeing Emeril as a judge for some reason

I think this season has been pretty decent, better than the last round of new contestants by a pretty significant margin (2 seasons ago)... Heather(?)from Spiaggia-- and Paul seem like the strongest of the group, and I don't mind the twist of the last chance kitchen thing either.
My complaint is too many group challenges, but whatever. Restaurant wars looks to be a trainwreck though.

probably the worst TC ever, especially at this stage in the game. I'd hate to get sent home because I wore myself out hacking a brick of ice. Between this, the bike thing and over-reliance on team challenges there has been a real de-emphasis on actual cooking this season.

There are definitely two episodes left. Seems really odd that they're taking it down to two for the final part, but I guess if you're going to get the crew up to Vancouver you want to make it cost-efficient so get 3 eps out of it instead of 2.

I think they haven't done a head-to-head finale since the first season. This mini finale was so blah, I couldn't care who lost. Paul comes off like a decent guy and has consistently been the best cook, so I'd be surprised and a bit disappointed if he didn't win...but overall this season has really been pretty lame.

I only watched the first four or five episodes of this season, but! Just spotted Heather at a bar in my neighborhood. She was very loud.
