martial arts felt too much like work to me as a kid, I mean after I saw Karate Kid of course and the sequel I was all about it and even read karate magazines but once I started Tae Kwon Do and realized it didn't involve kicking the shit out of people with shades and goofy mustaches, lost a little luster for me

When I was 12 I was convinced I was going to become the world's youngest syndicated cartoonist. I was writing a comic called Quack Benny which stole Jack Benny jokes and characters but with cartoon ducks instead of living humans. Which is probably an overrated job.
