Yes indeed it are Orchestral Man-ouvres in the Dark - it bugged me for AGES who did that song (mainly because of the bootleg with Electricity and Unpretty by TLC) so when it popped up on the advert it were giving me the ear to ear GRIN...

Those adverts are GREBT. Although I gotta say I think I prefer the gurl advert when she's dancing and kicking legs to Ca Plan Pour Moi. I want some Clarks kids shoes too!! I dance like that sometimes round my room now you know (apart from wrapping myself in the curtains as it wd be dangerous and I would put my bag out) except that I do not look charming and cute but like a FLAILING NUTBAG.

Fucksocks eh!!

Plastic Bertrand mang. Oh yes!!

Um, this is for a friend too, honest.

What's that tune on the Hyundi advert "I'm sticking like glue ..." etc?

Anna, Tuesday, 3 September 2002 11:33 (twenty-two years ago)

That's Moe Tucker singing with the Velvet Underground, it's called "I'm Sticking With You" and it is rather MENTAL that it has turned up on an advert and I larff each time Lou Reed does backing vocals.

I heart Moe Tucker and WANT a Moe Tucker tshirt!

Except it's an odd alternative recording and the proper version doesn't sound right (the VU thing).

Graham (graham), Tuesday, 3 September 2002 11:41 (twenty-two years ago)

A trainspotter writes :

It's the Dindisc version of 'Electricity' not the Factory version. The snare drum has less echo.

I am dull.

Thanks. I don't think I've even seen this advert. I might have recognised the song.
