Ha, my former mom-in-law lives there. It's not too far from PHX if you're into that? IDk really? I think they have an outlet mall or a regular mall. Enjoy sitting outside in January\.

The Florence Prison Outlet Store seems kinda interesting... I haven't actually been there yet.

So, a couple of observations:

1. The clerk here had NO idea how much a cab from the airport would cost. She said 60. More like 120.
2. There is a constant smell which reminds me of an elephant house at a zoo. Eww.
3. Everyone says hello.
4. The sunset was really quite pretty.

I'll report more as the week goes on.

The Casa Grande ruin is interesting to visit. There used to be a Frito-Lay plant, the Ross/Abbott Labs plant that made Ensure, and an RR Donnelly printing plant that did the fancy slick magazines like House Beautiful, and a cotton gin. But not much else.

one month passes...

This visit has been a ton more interesting:

1) Some shady shit occurring in the case that I'm here on. Like, to the degree that partners are jealous of me taking these depos. And the best one is tomorrow.
2) kicked it with approx 40 RAF guys who are here for skydiving training - there were 40 here, but I hung out with 4-5 of them, tbh
3) met a dude who worked for the Southern Pacific railroad for 35 years, who might have been the single coolest guy I've met in ten yers.
4). Had a very respectable steak dinner for approx $25. Three courses, and Woodford Reserve!
5) Heard one of the RAF guys do a karaoke version of "Ring of Fire," and it was awesome.
