it's january. no one's ever happy in january. in the northern hemisphere, anyway.

i'm waiting for an important e-mail and i feel like an internet saddo for sitting here and checking and re-checking, and refreshing ilx, and refreshing twitter, etc.

Starting back on a shallow upswing after blah mood and sinusitis/pharyngitis over the past 10 days. Actually got a little work done today, which feels good even though I hate the work.

I was very cheerful yesterday. Less so today, but not feeling bad. Just middling.

not good. was meant to go out for a friend's birthday earlier and as i got there i suddenly felt seriously iffy stomach, had to find a nearby toilet and stay there for a while. been in bed since i got home with crazy heartburn and reckon if i ate a single thing it'd be a bad idea. probably can't ring in sick to work regardless of how i feel and even if i could the fuckers don't pay you for sick leave till you've been there for 6 months, outrageously enough.

I didn't really understand this before I left Scotland; I think because the weather is mostly always shit there. But having had an awesome sunny summer and autumn this year, I totally notice the difference. Fuck January imo

Awful. The pain in my jaw has died down to tolerable, but I still have very little energy and can still barely chew, and the amoxicillin has been giving me a headache that won't quit and can't be treated with anything. I'm also very, very depressed; some of it may be post-illness depression, but some of it is probably my typical mixture of no money and no future.
