What kind of action is necessary here

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 14:43 (thirteen years ago)

is that the fire house on 8th street ?

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 14:49 (thirteen years ago)

Might be? They say grove and mercer. Ahma scout and see.

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 14:57 (thirteen years ago)

I think you should bumrush this production til u become The Wacky Neighbor

Literal Facepalms (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 9 February 2012 14:58 (thirteen years ago)

hooboy, it's the old firehouse next door to marco and pepe.
they were moving in as i walked to work.
my main hope is that this doesn't effect my life in any way

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:08 (thirteen years ago)

morbs otm

adolf jingle bells (latebloomer), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:11 (thirteen years ago)

not to ruin your day, but a friend of mine had a season of the real world move in literally next door to the place where she worked and said it was pretty much living hell.

Thu'um gang (jjjusten), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:13 (thirteen years ago)

well at least it's two blocks. and they're just off the city hall. note to self though: do not go to jc bars for the next six months.

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:25 (thirteen years ago)

ugh. they really would have fit in better in hoboken

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:27 (thirteen years ago)

They were not allowed in!

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:32 (thirteen years ago)

JC still playing the lil brother "hey we're awful too!" role

“My view is the more people that see anything about Jersey City and see what we have in Jersey, the better it is for Jersey City,” Mayor Jerramiah Healy told WNYW/Ch. 5

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:33 (thirteen years ago)

Drunk ass snookie stumbling down Newark ave is just idk

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:34 (thirteen years ago)

honestly not a major appreciable difference from the local fauna

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:37 (thirteen years ago)

yeah totally it's just nobody really pays a attention to those people. it will just be weird. if you've seen jersey shore in the last couple season there are hundreds of people that just stand behind barricades to stare at these cast members

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:42 (thirteen years ago)

Healy was the mayor photographed drunk and naked, right?

tokyo rosemary, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:44 (thirteen years ago)

xp fuck really? I've avoided the show till now. i imagine the local businesses are freaking out.
Likely places that will be fucked up because of this: Bar Majestic, Marco and Pepe, Tommy Two Scoops, Barcade, Pint, The Beer Garden, Toricos, etc

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:46 (thirteen years ago)

by comparison a realworld house next door would be a breeze because those people aren’t famous when the show films

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:46 (thirteen years ago)

Aero, i forget; you live in my hood?

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:46 (thirteen years ago)

Poor Marco & Pepe's.

one little aioli (Laurel), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:47 (thirteen years ago)

That place was generally slammed every night anyway; this might actually cause them to lose business in the short term.

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:47 (thirteen years ago)

Does Uncle Joe's still exist? RIP that too, probably.

xp well no wonder, it only seats like 10 people.

one little aioli (Laurel), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:48 (thirteen years ago)

i lived there for a bit a few years back.i have a few close friends that do now so i spend some time there.xxxp

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:49 (thirteen years ago)

sp more like fifty, but yeah.
also two new places just opened down the street that i imagine are likely Jersey Shore fodder: a Korean BBQ/creperie called KRAVE and a head shop next door

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:50 (thirteen years ago)

stop by and say hi sometime aero

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:50 (thirteen years ago)

a Korean BBQ/creperie called KRAVE

fyi I would live in this place

I spend a lot of time thinking about apricots (DJP), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:51 (thirteen years ago)

taqueria fap yo. it's been awhile since ive been there xp

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:52 (thirteen years ago)

krave has a truck,right? i think i had them before. it's okay

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:53 (thirteen years ago)

they're always too packed for me to eat there; they used to have a food truck that they sold out of. I guess business was good.

on the negative side, they took over from Rena's which i always liked except they had the half-assed business approach that many JC businesses have of "we're open when i'm around"

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:54 (thirteen years ago)

Taqueria is a block away and at least a once a week option. i'm down whenever. Email me when you're about.

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:55 (thirteen years ago)

no doubt

Aerosol, Thursday, 9 February 2012 16:56 (thirteen years ago)

oh man i bet the mtv crew will not be able to resist "DUCKYS AND DUMPLINGS!" which features an open-till-2am dim sum menu and an entire chinese family running around with two kids and a few confused stoner white kids rotating shifts at the register

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 9 February 2012 17:00 (thirteen years ago)

(dim sum menu not that great btw)

Update Day One:
- Local bar "Pint" is hosting The Night of 1000 Snookis: http://www.pintbar.com/
- 2 film crews dicking around in the street as I walked into work
- Not positive this is interconnected, but a couch on wheels sitting in the middle of the sidewalk in front of City Hall.

little clouds of citrus spritz as i peel (forksclovetofu), Friday, 10 February 2012 20:11 (thirteen years ago)

Pint is ostensibly a gay bar btw

http://www.tmz.com/2012/02/09/jersey-shore-snooki
"Officials in Jersey City refused to a grant a permit to shoot the show UNLESS the show allowed at least four Jersey City PD officers to be stationed at Jwoww and Snooki's home at all times."

There's always heavy security just off camera I feel like. Like in the Italy season when Mike and Ronnie went ham, all of a sudden these two huge bastards we've never seen before invade the frame instantly.

Axolotl with an Atlatl (Jon Lewis), Friday, 10 February 2012 22:57 (thirteen years ago)

one year passes...

ha, this scared me so bad and basically nothing happened.

YOU FOOLS PAY OVER $2.50 for a comic book (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 17 August 2013 20:15 (eleven years ago)

Did you ever see them about?

cardamon, Sunday, 18 August 2013 11:59 (eleven years ago)

a time or two. there were groups of people who would wait across the street and stare. it was less hassle than having a sidewalk repaired.
