it was easy! i would hazard a guess that men won't even try posting here, because ilx are v concerned with womens' issues and making women feel safe and ok with themselves! except the trolly ones, who we already just R our DE at, anyway. if some man does post in this thread, i would offer a v easy solution to the problem (until a mod deletes their post): just skip right over their post, do not acknowledge it, do not give it the time of day, do not show unwarranted respect by responding to it.

The wimpy kid books are v v funny, imo. I am student teaching in a middle school and my coop teacher made me read the first as "professional development."

When I was vacationing at my parents' house over Christmas break, I had foolishly assumed they would have books I could read, but I forgot my parents and siblings think reading's important ––– gravely important ––– but maybe not once you're out of elementary school. I made my mom drive me to the library and I checked out books 2-4. I thought it was funny that every one of them had a quote from some literacy council like "takes the reluctant out of reluctant reader." But sure enough, my sister and brother (who brag on never reading) were engrossed after they picked one up to figure out why I was laughing so much. The main character, Greg, made my sister incredibly angry, but everything makes my sister incredibly angry.
