i watched it with my gf and she is now my wife! she's french though. there was a lottttt of stuff that rang true. like the tiny french condoms. and how completely out of sorts you can feel as a cultural and linguistic outsider when you're in your s.o.'s briar patch, how you always feel on the outside looking in, and how your paranoia can amp up without you having any control over it.
