is there any chance you can get rid of it in dublin? I know the city doesn't have super transit

considered it, but gf favours having it for trips west.

Day in/out dublin would be fine without it, tbh

It's just an old motor, medical bills piling up ;_;

three years pass...

$570 to deal with a coolant control valve. After 154,000 miles I think it might be time to let go...

I'd keep it until it needs a repair that's over $2k

I still have the car from op :)

thoughts you made second posts about (darraghmac), Tuesday, 28 April 2015 21:23 (ten years ago)

if it's an older car, you probably save at least that on insurance and registration.

It's just that I'm already facing four new tires and a suspension overhaul (upper control arms, sway arms) if I'm going to go another 50K miles. Admittedly I've kicked the can down the road on a couple things and I'm finally having to confront a decision.

that's what, about $3000 - 4000?

Mistah FAAB (sarahell), Tuesday, 28 April 2015 22:39 (ten years ago)

All said and done it'll be at least $2500 or so.

2016 models are coming in, so it might be a good time to negotiate on a 2015 something

I was just in the same situation. turns out some old cars have timing belts that are hard to replace but also break every so often.
