i dreamt that i was invited to give the Inaugural Talk at the Opening Ceremony of the ilXoR Space Programme!!

anyway i decided that the way to go for this speech was i wd ask a really cool question (abt logic!), but when i tried it came out all incomprehensible, and i had to keep qualifying and explaining every bumbling thing i said, and everyone was shifting in their seats: it was awful...

The turnout at the Opening Ceremony was tremendous btw -> the arena was like a Futurama-version of the Albert Hall except abt 20 times bigger, with level after level of balconies and a great glass dome for a ceiling. You couldn't see that stars our destination as it wz still daytime.

Absurd ILE half-dream which has now confirmed my terminal geek status to my boyfriend: sleepily noticing that he was talking to me one morning, I was convinced that we were both actually posting on ILE and mumbled in reply 'but I can't reply, I can't find the link to your email'. nah he wasn't a black rider, we were just walking along by a stream. then there were the inflatable tents, and he said "Look at these!" and i looked and each one had a sleeping pre-raphaelite type woman in it, they could all have been Ophelias but i don't think they were dead. and then i started yelling "how could you be so inconsiderate?" at nick, and then horns rang out and a load of ppl burst out pursued by Black Riders (nick had sort of disappeared by this point) so we all legged it up the path to the cottage/inn and i was the innkeeper. everyone kipped on the floor and then came the toast.

I dreamt I was on the way to a laundrette (I have NEVER been in a laundrette!) and saw a man who was obviously robbing houses. I thought that if he knew I knew what he was up to he would hurt me to stop me from telling on him so I attempted to act like I hadn't seen him. But he knew I'd seen him and was going to fite me but then Uri Geller turned up (??) and I started hitting them both with a wooden post (it wasn't phallic as it had nails sticking out of it).

Then later I dreamt it was Xmas and I had a chocolate orange which someone threw on the floor in a fit of pique but fortunately this broke it neatly into pieces. This was a far better dream.

someone in my dream is explaining one of the olde Kings of England to me - that the main problem was that he was far too YOUNG to really be king properly, like 16 years old or so, so he made many bad decisions. the only one i can remember, a shoX0ring glimpse at my priorities, is that he "changed" the "royal colors" to stripes of orange against a burgundy background. this was clear proof to the royal family that he was not fit to govern so they sent him away somehow. without dinner haha. is this true? was there a king like this?

Sarah & Ktee will be overjoyed to hear that I dreamt I was going to be playing a HOBBIT in a film and was being fitted for my costume but it was all very amateurish and instead of having a proper wardrobe they just told me to wear a black skirt & flannel shirt and they would supply us with special hobbit tights & hats. My character was going to have purple tights. The wardrobe mistress was one of the secretaries who sits round the corner from me.

I find this a deeply disturbing thread to read after a few glasses of wine and a lot of my housemate's spliff.

Okay.

My dream last night was very odd. It started out in black and white, I was walking along by a river but I couldn't see it because of all these immense swathes of mist. Then out of the mist came ... the Pinefox in some sort of ratpack-style black suit. Then it changed to colour and we were both in a room with a woman in some sort of fur and a university friend of mine. Pinefox went and sat behind a desk with my friend Jordan and they started talking about a case they were working on.

I seem to dream in film noir cliches now.

hah my BRANE has been working overtime on this lately! the other night me and my mum broke into the school she works at to get some cat food, but there was only rum so we nicked it. we gave the cat some cardboard, but i knew that that wouldn't keep him going for long so resolved to buy some proper cat food. then there was the one where there were people hunting rare animals in the grounds of a palace to make sausages for Prince WIlliam, and i was at a party in the palace and my friend Harvey threw up and while i was cleaning it up someone threw a cushion at me and i woke up crying. THEN there was the one where i was putting make-up on lots of boys (directly influenced by that "faking it" about drag queens i think)

Last nite I dreamt that the whole of ILX was attending a songwriting workshop with Paul McCartney, high up in LCP tower in Elephant and Castle. Fab Macca was pretty exasperated because the ILX kids were behaving like the Bash St Kids and paying no attention (I think Dang Perry was the ringleader). In attempt to calm the class, McCartney decided to show a video, which turned out to be a tape of a documentary about Iain Sinclair, presented by Gareth, with a new longhairdo.

mark s was (almost) in my dream two nights ago! he was gonna come and help me with my animation. then i had to leave and do something for a couple minutes. when i returned, a little late, he had already come and gone. he left me a bit of paper that said he wasn't mad or anything, i think there was some sage-like advice written on there too. in the same dream, i think, though much later, i achieved semi-lucidity. mark wasn't around for that either.

I just woke up. I dreamt that I was in some foreign land and had discovered a housing complex where all these celebrities and people I went to school with lived and a few things happened involving a helter skelter and then, as I was about to run to get on my plane home, harrison ford gave me a couple of big hugs and handed me a business card which I threw in the bowl I was carrying, then he kissed me and then he kissed me again and tried to tongue me, I was shocked and embarrassed so I said goodbye and ran and got on my plane. then the telephone woke me up.

last night i dreamed that i met stan musial at some sort of event. only he didn't look like stan musial, he looked like someone in his twenties and he was wearing an earring! but he said he was stan musial and he wanted $1,000 for an autographed bat. so i gave him a check drawn on my dad's checking account, but it bounced and he refused to autograph the bat. so i gave him my credit card which i knew had $1,000 on it, but it came up as over my credit limit. i got upset, but then stan musial decided he was going to sign autographed bats for free. but i was pissed off that he had accused me of being a mooch, and i refused to take his stinking autographed bat and he chased me through the building saying "why don't you want this autographed baseball bat?!? it's for free, make yer Dad happy"

Does anyone else ever have dreams that they're not actually involved in?

Last night I dreamt this long drawn out story set in Australia involving a couple who killed off all the people they were on some job with in a house in a kind of professional hit way and then kept on killing all these other people who stumbled by. But I wasn't a character in it.

Maybe I was a participant in the sense of being someone watching a film. It felt somewhere between A History Of Violence and Wolf Creek. It was close to being lucid dreaming, but I didn't feel as though I was controlling the plot.

I dreamt last night that I was on some kind of package holiday that seemed to revolve around a labyrinthine chalet next to the world's biggest Wal-Mart. The other people in the chalet were very mean and managed to break parts of the rickety staircase I was walking up so that it became loose from it's fittings and started wobbling around several metres up.

It's one of many many dreams where I'm somewhere high up and scared of falling. As a teenager it would be hanging off of cliffs or stairwells which was scarey enough, but as I get older these places become increasingly unstable, for instance the top of a ship's mast or a tall tree that sways and wobbles around.

We were sailing around my local park which had become a boating lake, when we were attacked by Metallica in their own dingy. Our dingy capsized, and we both had to dive in because our keys had sunk to the bottom. We were both bemused as to why Metallica would attack us. Later, I returned the dingy (it was now a handy dinner plate size) to the Tubedot HQ, and saw loads of people queuing to get boats, so I said "watch out for Metallica, they'll sink you!".

I dreamt I was having sex with a Russian girl, we were in the throws of passion both talking in Russian. But I only know one word in Russian so i was just constantly repeating "spaseeba spaseeba" but very erotically.

three weeks pass...

Last night I dreamt about a band called "Sersemi', they were pretty good. One member of the band had a lower jaw that could be retracted and contained a weird looking musical instrument. I just googled '"Sersemi", and it turns out it's Turkish for stunned or bewildered.

two months pass...

I don't normally have memorable dreams but perhaps as a result of the girlfriend waking me up several times to tell me that should couldn't sleep I can remember one and it is odd. I dreamt that MosDef was staring in a film about telemarketing and had filmed the whole thing made up to look like a white guy with a beard in a kind of inverse robert downey jr kind of a way.
