too weird 3 guys pull out cellphones to take pictures of the guy their beating. kinda heavy-handed/obvious to say, but kinda shocks me how much violence is conducted for sole reason of publicity rather than the psychotic thrill i imagine "pre-cellphone mafiosos" took in it

I'm trying to figure out how much money is shown in the pictures. I'm guessing each large bundle is split up into ten smaller bundles, and each smaller bundle contains one hundred 100 RMB notes. a 100 RMB note is about 15 bucks US. so each large bundle has 1000 100 RMB notes, or 100,000 RMB. there are 11 large bundles. so that's about... 175k usd? straight cash, homey.

or each large bundle could only contain 100 notes. I dunno. how thick is money? if each large bundle was only 100 notes, then it'd be 17.5k usd
