eight months pass...
My current mp3 cd player is knackered - a Dioneer DCP-100 - the lcd screen has died and the remote control thingy isn't working either. So I'm after a new one. But I want one with a crossfading function so all the songs smooth into each other in a big seamless mess. Do they exist? Where could I get one from in the UK?

Is it really a 'Dioneer'? Because if it is that's almost as good as the 'Pony' radio I once saw.

I have an iRiver SlimX (the last model, not the newest one). It's pretty cool and was top of the line when it came out. BUT, I have to say that I haven't actually used the MP3 abilities on it much because I am too disorganized to rip things and burn them to cd, so I still wind up lugging a wallet of 30 CDs to work every day (only really change them out once a week or so), and have a few cds of MP3s laying on my desk all the time (everything by the Fall, american music club, piano magic, that's about it).

The only realy complaints about it are: slightly slow response time with some burned CDs when you hit play or try to skip tracks, and I think the thing could use a bass boost (it has sound options but they're not as good as the sound options that were on my $85 sony cd player, which, admittedly, fell apart after four months).
