guess the latent question here is, is there anything redeemable about all this? Would we starve if we didn't use the Colorado to farm the desert? Is it "not that bad" that 95% of the Colorado's estuarial wetlands have retreated? Can we resettle Las Vegas to the bottom of the sea?
