do you ever shoot a wad in the tailpipe and then get in your car and start it and think of all your little sperm swimming around in the gravel, looking for a hole

Dell..I just thought there would have been more of a response to such a blog, not sure what i was expecting.

Tailpipe Man (sissymanwhore), Saturday, 19 May 2012 01:06 (thirteen years ago)

I think there is rather a lot of fatigue around unusual sex practices, sissymanwhore - or perhaps people have come around to feeling like whatever people do to get off is really ok as long as it doesn't hurt anybody. you'd sort of having to be doinking the engine block to get a rise of people, I think, and even then, it'd have to be, like, an Abarth or something. I think a better course of action here might have been to take the position "I have sex with cars while contending that Joe Cocker was better than Ian Curtis," say.

cosi fan whitford (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Saturday, 19 May 2012 01:11 (thirteen years ago)

That is fine, i think most people seem to be the same. You are right when you say that behaviour has to be really extreme if you want to get a reaction.

Tailpipe Man (sissymanwhore), Saturday, 19 May 2012 01:19 (thirteen years ago)

what cosi said. largely people on this website are more interested in arguing about records or other cultural artifacts then they are in marveling over deviant sexual practices. if you were to spell out a reasoned argument about why you think kraftwerk suck, for instance, you would garner so much more attention

dell (del), Saturday, 19 May 2012 01:30 (thirteen years ago)

Dell... there is not really a reasoned argument as to why kraftwerk suck, they just do. One half decient song from the eighties does not make a good band.

But the HEPA filter for Oliver's Vibe got dirty very quickly. And, it was not cleanable—it was simply replaceable. When it turned filthy brown, Oliver went back to Target to buy a new filter.

Oddly, Target sold the F15 belt for the Vibe, but not the filter. He informed the store manager. She said she would e-mail this discrepancy to Target headquarters. She told him to try Sears or Wal-Mart. If they didn't have it, he could try the Dirt Devil web site. He drove to Wal-Mart and to Sears, but neither carried the filter. The Sears salesman told him to try the vacuum cleaner repair shop on East Colorado.

Oliver drove to the address, but the shop was closed. A note on the door said, "Because of car problems, the store is not open today. We will be open on Monday, if we can get the car fixed." If they had car problems, how did they leave the note on the door, Oliver wondered.

When he got home, he went online to Dirt Devil. The F15 filter was only $9.99. But shipping (5-7 days) was an extra $4.95. Express shipping (1-2 days) was $10.70.

Including driving time, Oliver figured that he had spent two irritating hours that day looking for one stupid filter. He wondered how much of his life he had wasted just searching for things.

scott seward, Saturday, 19 May 2012 02:26 (thirteen years ago)

Oliver went to Target to buy a new vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaners at Target cost $60 to $500. The expensive ones were too bulky and, of course, too expensive. He bought the cheapest one in the store: a Dirt Devil “Vibe.” Its label claimed that it had “full size features, a clean release dirt cup, onboard cleaning tools, and weighed less than 11 pounds.” Plus, it had an HEPA filter. All of these features were nice, Oliver thought, but the most important feature was the cheap price.

When he got home, he tried out his new Vibe. It worked pretty well. It had a nice long cord; he could plug it into the outlet in his kitchen and the vacuum cleaner would reach all corners of his apartment. The handle, however, was not very comfortable to hold. Every few minutes, he had to stop vacuuming in order to rest his hand. Whoever had designed the handle had done a very poor job. He figured it was probably the same person who designs the tiny rear windshields that restrict a driver's view of what’s behind him.

But, otherwise, the Vibe seemed to clean quite well, and the plastic cup was easy to empty. There was no bag to hassle with—just pour the dirt out of the plastic cup, rinse it out, and snap it back onto the vacuum cleaner.

How To Begin Continued
Pause/Resume Is used to check the status of
a cleaning cycle (Surface Stain or Set-In). If you
hit the Pause button once, it pauses the cleaning
cycle it is currently in. By pressing it one more
time to Resume, you will pick up in the cleaning
cycle where you left off.
Stop By depressing the Stop button, you will stop
your SpotBot in either the Surface or Set-In stain
cycle. To begin cleaning again, you will need to
select one of the 2 cycles.
Status Indicators Much like the dishwasher in
your kitchen, the Status Indicators will instruct
you as to what is going on within a cleaning cycle.
You will hear changes in the sound of the machine
at different points in a cycle. When your selected
cleaning cycle is complete, the Finish light will
illuminate and you will hear a “beep” every 5
seconds until you depress the stop button.
Plug your SpotBot in. The Power light will illuminate
instructing you that there is power to the unit and it is
ready to go.
Place the filled Clean/Solution tank on to the unit
Place the unit directly over the spot or stain,
making sure the stain is in the center of the
Handsfree cleaning area.
Select which cleaning cycle, Surface Stain or
Set-In you would like to begin with. Your SpotBot
will begin spraying, brushing and suctioning up
the spots and stains, in its pre-programmed cycle.
Both cycles have been tested and proven to deliver
superior cleaning results, taking the guesswork out
of cleaning for you.

Tip:
Some spots and spills
require that you pick up the
chunky debris with a rag
or towel before you begin
cleaning in the Handsfree or
Manual cycles.
Tip:
If the unit accidently tips
or is tilted, the Handsfree
cleaning brushes will stop.

Remove the Hose from the unit by depressing the
Release Button.
a. Remove the Tough Stain Brush from the back
of the unit.
b. Attach the Tough Stain Brush onto the grip of
the Flex Hose.
Select the Manual/Hose button on the control
panel to start the SpotBot.
NOTE: In manual mode, the SpotBot will not
turn on until the grip is removed from the
unit. If it is not removed within 30 seconds of
pushing the start button, the unit will shut off.
Begin cleaning by holding the tool no more than
six inches above the soiled surface. Depress the
Spray Trigger for about 5 seconds to apply the
cleaning solution to the soiled area. Release the
trigger. Be careful not to over wet.
Using the brush on the tool, gently scrub the soiled
area for about 30 seconds or until the soiled area
appears to be clean.
To suction up the dirt and cleaning solution,
position the suction nozzle over the cleaned area,
apply downward pressure on the tool, and pull
nozzle toward you. You should see the dirty
solution pass through the nozzle. Continue until no
more solution can be removed. Normally, this step
will require no more than one minute of back and
forth passes.
If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 4-6
as necessary.
When the cleaning is complete, lightly drag the
suction nozzle across the stain for about two
minutes to further aid in drying the cleaned area.
Press the Manual/Hose button to turn off
the SpotBot.
Unplug the machine, wrap the cord on the cord
wraps and wrap the hose around the machine so
that the wand can be placed in the holder for
convenient storage.
Tip:
Check upholstery stuffing
before cleaning. Colored
stuffing may bleed through
the fabric when it becomes
wet.
Tip:
One of the effective
ingredients in Oxy GEN2 is
Hydrogen Peroxide. Certain
people may be affected by
the product when it comes
into contact with their skin;
it may turn the skin white
and/or cause tingling.
Washing your hands after
use and applying hand
lotion will remove any
possible white discoloration.

Bag change indicator
The bag change indicator is located between
the power button and the automatic cord
rewind button. If the bag change indicator turns
orange while you are vacuuming, the dust bag
needs to be replaced. The dust bag may appear
to be full or only partially full depending upon
the type of debris picked up. Fine particles can
block the airflow in the dust bag and reduce
suction before the dust bag is full. If the bag
change indicator remains orange, even after
changing the dust bag, turn the vacuum off and
check for a clog in the hose or tools.
Dust bag replacement
1. Unplug the vacuum from electrical outlet.
2. Disconnect hose
3. Open the dust bag compartment by lifting up
on the latch on the door on the front of the
vacuum.
4. Lift out the dust bag holder and dust bag.
5. Release the dust bag from the holder by
pressing the dust bag holder clip and pulling
the dust bag out of the holder. Discard the
used dust bag.
6. Slide the new dust bag into the holder by
inserting the dust bag into the tabs located
at the bottom of the holder. Then press the
dust bag holder clip, insert the dust bag and
release the dust bag holder clip to hold the
dust bag in place.
7. Place holder and new dust bag back into
the dust bag compartment, making sure
the entire bag is tucked in below the seal
gasket.
8. Close dust bag compartment door and press
down gently until it locks into place.
NOTE: The dust bag compartment door will
not close without the dust bag in place.

Maintenance and care
Cleaning the motorized powerhead
The brush can usually be cleaned without
removal from the vacuum. If there is an
excessive amount of hair and debris, however, it
is best to remove the brush.
1. Unplug the vacuum.
2. Lay the motorized powerhead forward on the
floor.
3. Locate the locking screws (2) on the
bottom of the powerfoot. Using a Phillips
head screwdriver, remove the screws. Lift off
the brush cover. Grasp the brush firmly, and
pull it out.
4. Clean debris from brush. Lint, carpet pile,
and hair can be removed with a pair of
scissors. If brush bristles are worn or missing,
replace brush.
5. Slide belt over brush onto the belt track.
Slide belt over the motor pulley. To reinstall
brush, slide square ends of brush into
grooves, beginning with the belt side. The
drive belt should have room to rotate within
the belt channel. Make sure drive belt is
looped over roller and not twisted. Inspect
belt action by rolling the brush with the palm
of your hand.
6. Reattach brush cover to powerhead with (2)
screws.
Replacing the drive belt
1. Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 from the Cleaning
the motorized powerhead section.
2. Remove old belt from brush.
3. Attach new belt, aligning as indicate in steps
5 and 6 from Cleaning the motorized power
head section.
