Welcome Donna - I'm new too, but I feel like I have been here for ever already. It's great, innit? I'm thinking of starting up a 10-step programme to help with the addiction - because it *is* addictive - and I'm currently working on the first draft of the self-help leaflets plus doing mad scientific experiments to develop a patch we could wear to wean us all off it. (The patch doesn't seem to be working awfully well, and I think on reflection the use of tomato ketchup in it might have been a mistake. When I wear it, it just makes me look like I have sustained a nasty gunshot wound).

Mind you, why would I want to be cured of this addiction? The people here are intelligent, kind and v v witty. My productivity at work has fallen dramatically since I found this site, but it's a small price to pay for being entertained so superbly every day.

haha 10 steps indeed! 12 is standard for controlling alcohol intake, so I think you'll need at least an 8,000 step programme for combatting ILX-addiction.

The reason for wanting to be cured is to actually get anything done ever. I basically gave up on that years before I met ILX, so I don't care.
