Can't help but feel Wiltshire's got some Transformers geeks there.

I can imagine some heated discussion in the conference rooms of marketing companies: "Should we say 'Taking a lead' or 'Taking the lead'?"

I also applaud the departments broadminded enough to reach out to the Latin community.

West Mercia has the look of a committee unable to agree on one motto, and a desperate chairperson saying "Look, we'll just put all three together, one after the other. Is everybody happy now!?"

i like the ones that imply that even tho statistics say you have very little chance of being a victim of crime they still have to assuage the fears of senile old Mail readers who hate ethnics and children

It's got to be 'Working together to make the communities of Avon and Somerset feel safe and be safe' but 'Altogether Better Policing' is close second.

Cheshire sounds like something an ecstasy dealer in the mid 90's would have said.
Cumbria sounds like the slogan for a toilet roll.

Keeping our communities safe and reassured is kind of admitting that sure, there's not a ton of crime in Staffordshire, and the police are always available to remind you of that fact.

Yeah, TOTAL POLICING is some Orwell shit, but it's actually a good, succinct slogan, albeit a terrifying one.
