I have a log at home -- yes, ON PAPER -- so I'd have to go through that and weed out which "count" for this year. There've been a fair number of B+ releases.

Would have included This Is Not A Film, but I saw it last fall, even though its US release is '12. So that's it, I suppose.

that the first two probably made some people's 2011 lists makes me feel out of the loop. & i can't remember what else i've seen in the six month window between the start of the year & the last week. but these are all keepers. i liked anatolia v well too.

I watched Killer Joe and Cosmopolis on Xmas eve after seeing them in this thread, and I thought it was weird that they had pretty much the same ending.

That said, I have yet to really enjoy 3 movies from 2012. I was expecting to have a complete answer by now.

so disappointed in Killer Joe. The last thirty minutes were so damn slow.

I have much still to see; very provisionally, Knuckleball, Free Angela Davis & All Political Prisoners, and Paul Williams Still Alive.

yeah, im not generally into ken burns, but the dust bowl, esp the 1st half, was really good

i would add 'killing them softly' to the 3 i listed above, or knock out killer joe if im keeping it to 3

Thanks to everyone who repped for The Kid With A Bike. I totally glossed over that as one among the many Netflix Instant movies with awful/generic titles. Now I have reason to check it out.

Le Quattro Volte is from a couple of years ago and I have re-watched it a few times this year and couldn't find a thread on it on here. It's such a rare type of film and I just thought it was worth mentioning on here.

Eric, this is almost certainly the funniest of the Apatow-produced films I've seen, at least in part bcz the two lead characters are maimed in separate incidents.
