I love the Get-Up Kids one best I think

decrepit but free (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Monday, 25 June 2012 17:26 (thirteen years ago)

without reading the apologies, i gotta go with 7. Jim Suptic of The Get Up Kids, Emo

Black_vegeta (Hungry4Ass), Monday, 25 June 2012 17:26 (thirteen years ago)

just the idea of it is irresistable

Black_vegeta (Hungry4Ass), Monday, 25 June 2012 17:26 (thirteen years ago)

not gonna lie, the main reason I posted this was because of the conversation a couple of weeks ago on the Fun. vs Gotye thread about how some ILXors love Mandy Moore and it cracked me up to see her on this list disavowing the two albums ppl were enthusing over

Victory Chainsaw! (DJP), Monday, 25 June 2012 17:30 (thirteen years ago)

nobody was enthusing about those albums; barely anyone was enthusing about her music

some dude, Monday, 25 June 2012 17:32 (thirteen years ago)

i mean, 2 people enthused about a single from one of those albums, but still

some dude, Monday, 25 June 2012 17:33 (thirteen years ago)

ilm was fucking CRAZY for 'candy' back in the day

Black_vegeta (Hungry4Ass), Monday, 25 June 2012 17:34 (thirteen years ago)

even though it sucks

Black_vegeta (Hungry4Ass), Monday, 25 June 2012 17:35 (thirteen years ago)

What does the brilliant A Streetcar Named Marge need apologizing for?!

to welcome jer.fairall, pie is served. (jer.fairall), Monday, 25 June 2012 17:38 (thirteen years ago)

apparently New Orleans was offended by the hilarious song

some dude, Monday, 25 June 2012 17:40 (thirteen years ago)

Oh jeez.

I'd make the obvious argument that the song isn't spoofing NO so much as the lyrical conventions of musical theater, but the song is defensible solely on the grounds of being hilarious to begin with.

OTOH Brazil got a Simpsons-apology too but that was more deserved, if only because the episode sucked

Race Against Rockism (Myonga Vön Bontee), Monday, 25 June 2012 17:59 (thirteen years ago)

Battleship Earth dude is kind of hilarious

Victory Chainsaw! (DJP), Monday, 25 June 2012 18:00 (thirteen years ago)

The drunkenness! The ambiguous sexuality!

lol "Battleship Earth" apparently I need a nap

Victory Chainsaw! (DJP), Monday, 25 June 2012 18:06 (thirteen years ago)

apology for Battleship is probably forthcoming

Eminem's wins some kind of most terrible award

rob, Monday, 25 June 2012 22:17 (thirteen years ago)

i always figured it was a nod to sondheim's "no place like london", from sweeney todd:

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit
And it's filled with people who are filled with shit,
And the vermin of the world inhabit it,
And it goes by the name of London...

contenderizer, Monday, 25 June 2012 23:08 (thirteen years ago)

that 'you're in the picture' thing sounds awesome.

(The Other) J.D. (J.D.), Monday, 25 June 2012 23:26 (thirteen years ago)

The Gleason one is pretty dope

Gleason and Square Enix def sound the most sincere.

of family bonds and individual triumph. Narrated by Tim Allen, (zachlyon), Tuesday, 26 June 2012 00:07 (thirteen years ago)

had to vote J.D. Shapiro, his apology was hilarious

chupacabra seeds (Abbbottt), Tuesday, 26 June 2012 00:25 (thirteen years ago)

ya the simpsons new orleans song was drawing from sweeney todd. also it's supposed to be part of a bad play rather than the unfiltered opinions of the writers! g damn new orleans.

Battleship has already been apologized for: http://www.thewrap.com/movies/article/peter-berg-admits-battleship-was-expensive-too-high-concept-43566

Hamster of Legend (J3ff T.), Tuesday, 26 June 2012 01:31 (thirteen years ago)

I'm voting for Mike Daisey, because nobody fucks over Ira Glass and gets away with it.

banjoboy, Tuesday, 26 June 2012 03:23 (thirteen years ago)

Glass will totally bust your kneecaps.

from Barry's comic about dating Ira Glass, "Head Lice and My Worst Boyfriend" ––– I can't get over that line because what is Ira but a curator of asinine memories?

polyphonic, Wednesday, 18 June 2014 20:58 (eleven years ago)

depends on how you look at it i guess

socki (s1ocki), Wednesday, 18 June 2014 21:00 (eleven years ago)

weird that Public Enemy isn't on this list

Οὖτις, Wednesday, 18 June 2014 21:26 (eleven years ago)

I see that the "creator" that apologized for that Simpsons episode (really just one song) was the Fox network, not Matt Groening. Weak inclusion.
