I'll say dud without even playing.

Best part of the game is downloading skins, but I can't seem to find the ones I want, i.e. celebrity skins. Nothing more vicarious than living out an imaginary life as Carrie Brownstein.

So, recommend some good skins sites.

i have to be basically a grandma in sims 1 in order to have anything close to appropriate hair

i used to have sims 2 and i made a spitting image of myself and married her to joe strummer

i never thought unleashed would be fun at all, but its great

I have Sims2 and recently got the Apartment Life expansion which has added all kinds of fiddle to the damn game but I still enjoy dabbling in it when I'm chilling out. I dont play it as intensively as I used to SimCity but its fun, I love making sprawling homes and doing gardening in it (the Seasons expansion lets you grow veggies and fruit tress and harvest food!)

whats the apartment expansion got?

Well the main change obv is apartments: you can now rent places as well as build/buy them, so there are these ready-made apartments, condos etc all over the new town that it comes with. It's a bit odd: when you're renting you can change all the furniture and paint and stuff buy you cant knock out or change any walls or doors/windows. Just like real rental, I suppose!

Also, they've expanded the aspirations and now there is a lifetime overall aspiration meter to keep an eye on as well as the general one. Im not sure wether that came in with Apartment Life or Freetime, though. Freetime is also awesome btw yuo can play an oldschool moog synth and a violin and guitar =)

No, I havent! I did read about it - apparently there was some big hooo haa a few years back involving theft? Bit like similar things happening on Second Life, I think. The idea of virtual worlds in a Sim/SL sense I find a little odd, but then I think I play Sims more cause I like playing little miss interior decorator =)

I just bought sims 2 again after losing my first copy somehow. I heard sims 3 is coming out, but I just couldn't wait.

I got the bathroom and kitchen pack with it. Don't really feel like it adds much.

I'm tempted to get the IKEA pack just for lulz.

Sims3 wont be out til next year some time. I bet my PC wont handle it. Which will be hilarious because I upgraded to it when Sims2 came out for the same reason ;_;

My band has a song in Sims URBS. We got to re-record our vocal track in Simlish. It was really fun.

Hahah awesome! I love how bands have done that in the game. The Simlish Howard Jones and Depeche Mode amused me greatly :)

i spent pretty much all last summer playing the sims 2
i played one family through 8 generations!!

i dont think my people age really, but im using sims 1 + unleashed

yeah i dont think they die in sims 1

sims 2 you can have children that grow to adults (I think in sims 1 they stay children forever)

here's a screenshot i took last time i played the sims. the old grey dude is geoffrey, he is a million years old and has banged something like 40 chicks. the dude in the scuba gear is his grand nephew homer. they hate each other. the chick swooning is geoffrey's great grand niece inga. she and geoffrey are banging regularly because the game doesn't recognize them as related. she swoons over him every 5 minutes.

here is my least favorite sim of all time, huggabunch. she is homer's wife and is pretty much useless. she just got home from work and decided to stand outside with her arms up as if she's a huge winner. she did this for like 30 sim minutes.

DId u kno that if your sim dies in a household accident and then Death rox up to do his biz, you can beg him for clemency and sometimes he lets the person come back to life??? Its only happened to me once but it was pretty hilarious.

I should see if I ever made a video of it.

I seem to have some bugs in my current saved games in sims2 ever since I added 2 new expansions. I havent patched them so that could be why....one of my characters has the same aspiration requirements and even when I fulfil them, she gets no points for it and doesnt get any better. WTF. Also one guy is trapped under his house's balcony and wont come out even tho he could walk up some stairs. He just stands there shrugging and says "no can do". Stupid man.
