She will get nominated until she's dead, even if it's only "best guest actress in a variety special" for her acceptance speech made during the previous year's Emmys.

the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:12 (thirteen years ago)

Betty White needs to contribute vocals to a metal album and then her hipster bingo card will be complete

Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:19 (thirteen years ago)

Off Their Rockers can be pretty funny, it's Just for Laughs with seniors! At any rate, way more enjoyable than JFL.

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:27 (thirteen years ago)

Jon Hamm is a much better comedic actor than dramatic actor, I would give him every Emmy on Earth for his bit in this year's live 30 Rock episode

PITILESS LIVE SHOW (DJP), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:33 (thirteen years ago)

4 "Modern Family" guys in supporting comedy actor is ridic but 3 different episodes of "Mad Men" taking up 60% of the slots in the drama writing category is insane, can't they like chill on multiple noms for these fuckin shows?

Barack 2 Chainz Obama (some dude), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:33 (thirteen years ago)

Schmidt from "New Girl" getting a nod is so cool and unexpected, though

Barack 2 Chainz Obama (some dude), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:35 (thirteen years ago)

How is American Horror Story a miniseries.

From what I understand, they announced that it's going to be a completely different show each season -- different cast, different plot, etc. So it's akin to something like Masterpiece Theatre.

Never translate Dutch (jaymc), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:38 (thirteen years ago)

that's good for the show, i guess, first season scared me off (by being shitty, not by being scary) but i could try it again if it's totally new next time

still makes zero sense that the SECOND SEASON of "Luther" is considered a miniseries though

Barack 2 Chainz Obama (some dude), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:40 (thirteen years ago)

But always in the same house, with some recurring characters. Saturday Night Live is a "comedy series"?

Perhaps a better question: "Luther" is a miniseries?

pun lovin criminal (polyphonic), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:41 (thirteen years ago)

as some dude mentioned

pun lovin criminal (polyphonic), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:41 (thirteen years ago)

Sherlock, too. I guess with those, it's because the seasons are so short?

Never translate Dutch (jaymc), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:42 (thirteen years ago)

No shorter than Downton Abbey!

pun lovin criminal (polyphonic), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:43 (thirteen years ago)

A little shorter!

Never translate Dutch (jaymc), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:44 (thirteen years ago)

But always in the same house, with some recurring characters

No, I think the location is different for S2. Looks like some cast members are returning, but as different characters?

Never translate Dutch (jaymc), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:45 (thirteen years ago)

Wonder if the half-seasons for BB S5 are going to screw up their eligibility.

the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:46 (thirteen years ago)

Oh, on Masterpiece the first season of Downton was only four episodes, but I guess they did some reworking of it?

pun lovin criminal (polyphonic), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:46 (thirteen years ago)

Can't really remember how it worked for The Sopranos.

the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Thursday, 19 July 2012 18:47 (thirteen years ago)
