got a new credit card, then racked up 2 grand of debt in the first day by buying a dvd player and 150 dvd's. like all the best pleasures, I'll pay for it later.

Played lots of old disco (Oops Upside Your Head is irresistible). Completed some tasks more quickly than expected at work. Hung out on ILE. Some instant-messaging chat with a new possible-girlfriend. A Simpsons on TV I'd only seen once before. Some lovely football in the Arsenal game. Actually, I seem to be happy a lot lately, which is unusual for me.

Saw kids, playing in the sunshine, on my way to work. Ordinarily this wouldn't give me much pleasure. But yesterday morning, same time, same place, it was grey, cloudy, and I saw a homeless man in a wheelchair masturbating on the street.

scrubbed sinks. the sinks are metal, and were getting rust-stained, and the rust comes off real easy if you scrub, and it was the coolest thing. scrubbing is the best cleaning.

Found dirt-cheap 7" of The Chicks doing 'River Deep Mountain High', saw Fassbinder's 'Nora Helmer', got a ride home w an old friend who threatened/promised a Big Star mixtape, et avocado on toast, improved Ability on RockStarGame by almost 20 points. Not bad for a Wednesday.
