Post here when you take something out of the library. There are a million library/librarian threads here but nothing that's specifically for listing your haul.

Finds from the Studio City branch: "The Tassajara Bread Book" and the uncorrected-proof of John Ortved's "Simpsons" book for a dollar at the book sale; Charlie Haden/Pat Metheny's "Beyond the Missouri Sky," Tangerine Dream's "Optical Race," and Richard Thompson's "Action Packed: The Best of the Capitol Years" from the CD shelves; "The Parallax View" from the DVDs, and my hold copy of William Gaddis's "JR," which finally came in.

This cumbersome thing: The History of Paris in Painting. Not looking forward to the return. I don't know why I took it out; pathological hoarding I guess.

THE LIBRARY HAS SO MANY G-D BOX SETS

i'm becoming increasingly reliant on the library these days after pretty much a lifetime of never going or only going for homework or whatever.

sometimes i keep an i love books thread open on my iphone when i go to the library and cross-check between it and the catalog. or do a series search for "new york review of books classics" lol

it's pretty good on pop/rock in general. the dvds are really strong too.

our library is pretty new, won an ala award in 2007 or whatever. i like the building a lot.

I browse online and get everything delivered to my local branch so I'll pick up whenever enough stuff is there.
