I used to think the 12 Apostles' names were the prototype of this (John? Matthew? Mark?) but Luke would actually work for a dog. I don't suppose there are many dogs named Jesus (hay-zoos).For girl dogs, I suppose Jennifer, Stephanie and Madison would be starters.

Benson's most common nickname is Mr. Poops because when he was a puppy he pooped a lot so I started calling him the poopy which just stuck but more often than not becomes Mr. Poops.
