Each actor takes a different approach to the demands of a tricky regional accent, which stretches the already thin credibility of the idea that they might be kin. Mr. Clarke does a bit of howling but not much chatting. Mr. LaBeouf, as is his custom, runs his mouth in as many directions as possible, while Mr. Hardy mostly grunts, growls and ribbits, occasionally interrupting his angry bullfrog impersonation to deliver down-home bromides that make him sound like Toby Keith choking on a Cheeto.

Oh and I forgot, Nick Cave wrote the words because Nick Cave.

There was an 8 page pullout section on the film & the era it was based on in that paper that day too.

Just seen it. Hilarious at times and the soundtrack is great. Hardy and Peace both superb, would watch again.

Hillcoat + Cave means I will be seeing this, my extreme dislike for LaBeef notwithstanding

Hardy was very Vin Diesel-esque to me. Don't really get why the guy has such a cult. For me, Pearce was the best thing about it by a thousand miles.
