Hmm, the documentary is mentioned in the link from nine years ago in Ned’s OP, guess they continue to work on it.

Her writing seems pretty good. Read a little bit of her Warhol book once in the library in the ancient beforetimes, might want to revisit. Novels are intriguing too.

I didn't know anything about Eating Raoul before watching it tonight, but it took approximately 3 minutes for me to tune into its frequency and happily ride along through the rest of it. (I saw TerrorVision a few months ago, but liking that was a bigger ask.)

Need to see her in more things. Recommendations?

A supporting role, but nonetheless an interesting pairing with Tom "Tooth Fairy" Noonan in House of the Devil.

Coming cold to Eating Raoul is the best way to do it. I had the same experience. A really unique film. Woronov and Paul Bartel briefly reprise their roles from Raoul in Chopping Mall, but I don't know if it's worth seeing for that alone. Still kind of a fun movie. Night of the Comet is definitely worth seeing.

I didn't realize there was a doc about her until reading this thread. Looks like it is still being made.

Her book Swimming Underground is really good. We all know the Warhol Factory stories, but she dissects them like it's an anatomy lab. I wish she'd write more.

Agree--condescending in the most cliched and wrongheaded way. She made it sound like everything that came out of California in 1966 was Scott McKenzie.

She was second choice for the VU documentary when Eric Cartman was unavailable.

She ruled in the doc. She rules in everything.

But you can still argue that she's way off the mark, no? She could also have said that Bob Dylan and Smokey Robinson were inept as songwriters, and that would be a perspective too.

(Almost every Screen Test I ever watch, I'm just overwhelmed. I wonder if Warhol gave any thought to how these would feel six decades down the road...or if they'd even survive.)

I mostly like her and have my own problems with hippies but…at some point some of this stuff gets kind of old.
