― O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:19 (thirteen years ago)
that is not only an uniformed guess, but maybe not the name of the show. the one with a world without electricity or whatever.
― O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:21 (thirteen years ago)

― O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:45 (thirteen years ago)
Veronica Mars might be it. is the show 25% violence and 75% murmuring?
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:47 (thirteen years ago)
noirish synth strings and the sound or car doors opening and shutting?
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:49 (thirteen years ago)
Then bass synth swell and someone getting killed (?) ... Now back to male/female murmuring.
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:51 (thirteen years ago)
can't remember what the incidental music was like but yeah sounds like it could be Veronica Mars. Def a show worth marathon-ing too. Is this the opening credits?

― Roz, Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:53 (thirteen years ago)
The music's back on but it sounds more grunge-y. does the music change? They're obviously deep into it now ...Are there monsters in this? Though I heard some tortured animal sounds.
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:59 (thirteen years ago)
Hm, could it be Charmed? I doubt it but it has chix and monsters and fighting and stuff.
― frances boredom coconut (Trayce), Thursday, 20 September 2012 07:04 (thirteen years ago)
That's what my wife thought, but that uses "How Soon Is Now" as the theme and I'd recognize that.
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 07:06 (thirteen years ago)
Sounds like a fist fight in Frankensteins lab up there!
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 07:08 (thirteen years ago)

more thunder and heavy things crashing and bashing
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 07:21 (thirteen years ago)
are you sure it's TV?
― the late great, Thursday, 20 September 2012 07:43 (thirteen years ago)
does your building have a fire alarm you could set off to create a conversational opportunity.
― estela, Thursday, 20 September 2012 07:51 (thirteen years ago)
It's TV because the same credits music goes off every 45 minutes. There's a LOTR type sound effect, like a backwards woosh. It alternates between violence and silence so quick, it's as if the couple murmuring to each other were remembering some past epic warfare.
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 08:01 (thirteen years ago)
lol Xena maybe?
― frances boredom coconut (Trayce), Thursday, 20 September 2012 08:28 (thirteen years ago)
no guitars and drums in Xena though, or moody synths
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 08:40 (thirteen years ago)
I'm 75% convinced it's Angel.
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 09:04 (thirteen years ago)
cellos, drums, male vampires wooshing while females murmur about it.
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Thursday, 20 September 2012 09:07 (thirteen years ago)
Yes, the cello thing totally made me think that is what it was! Also fighting monsters.

Wow, she's still watching this show! (We figured out from comings and goings that it's only one of two roommates with the Angel fixation.) Is Angel really worth spending 3-4 hours a day watching?
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Saturday, 22 September 2012 16:50 (thirteen years ago)
it's a pretty good show, but no
― clouds, Saturday, 22 September 2012 16:52 (thirteen years ago)
Theres a lot of episodes, maybe theyre having a sort of "marathon" but... yeah no. Haha I cant believe I was right tho!
― frances boredom coconut (Trayce), Sunday, 23 September 2012 00:43 (thirteen years ago)
when i see this thread i keep thinking i must have started it years ago when i was drunk but that's not true at all.
― scott seward, Sunday, 23 September 2012 01:11 (thirteen years ago)
maybe it was started about you - think about that
― balls, Sunday, 23 September 2012 01:14 (thirteen years ago)
I can't stand going to a relative's house and they go on and on about some boring show that is in syndication - usually on a Saturday - and they are showing said show all day.
I currently live in the suburbs but in an older suburb but the lifestyles in some of these younger suburbs disturb me. Like, it seems kind of OCD to watch ten episodes of the same show in one day, unless it's a classic.
― โตเกียวเหมียวเหมียว aka Kevin Coughlin Coffin Coffee Cup Who th (Mount Cleaners), Sunday, 23 September 2012 01:29 (thirteen years ago)
Depends on the show. I was laid up for a few days with a heavy virus and it was fun to watch an entire season of "Lost" in a day. But if a show doesn't have a continuing story ... yeah pretty boring.
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Sunday, 23 September 2012 01:45 (thirteen years ago)
me and my kids watched 4 episodes of the gilmore girls tonight.
― scott seward, Sunday, 23 September 2012 02:01 (thirteen years ago)
i watched the entirety of the shield over the course of last summer!
― balls, Sunday, 23 September 2012 02:08 (thirteen years ago)
I've watched entire seasons of Babylon 5 in one hit before, but it has a masive overarching plot that helps this be engaging.
― frances boredom coconut (Trayce), Sunday, 23 September 2012 04:15 (thirteen years ago)
The same is def true of Angel! I totally did mini-marathons of that show.
― Old Lunch, Sunday, 23 September 2012 04:45 (thirteen years ago)
tell us about this Angel ...
― Ask The Answer Man (sexyDancer), Sunday, 23 September 2012 08:25 (thirteen years ago)
I prefer Buffy tbh.
