Saturday Night Live Hosts: Athletes POLL

Some talk bubbled up about various athletes who've hosted one or more episodes of SNL over the years, and we can't let that slide without polling them! I'm leaving out athletes who turned tv/film into a regular gig prior to hosting (not counting commercials) and polling just those who were tv amateurs.

He'd already done films by 2000, right? That's why I left him out.

The first one of these I have a vague recollection of seeing is the Payton/Montana episode in 1987. The first one I remember vividly is Gretzky in 1989.

Montana monologue is actually pretty funny, though most of that is thanks to the writers.

Actually shocked that Bo Jackson didn't host.

Elvis Telecom, Friday, 26 October 2012 05:22 (thirteen years ago)

At the time Bo was most ripe for hosting, the show was in a shambles. BO KNOWS BAD SITUATIONS.
