Steven Cole
17-year-old Steven is from Maidstone, and first set up a business when he was 13. He's one of the more ambitious candidates, saying that he wants to have made £10m by the time he is 27.
Max Grodecki
16-year-old Max is from Benenden, Kent, and is studying for A-levels in Economics, Latin, Early Modern History and English Literature. He also makes a living as a trader of vintage clothing and other items, and names Apple founder Steve Jobs as his inspiration.
Patrick McDowell
Patrick, 16, is an A-level student from the Wirral, who has his own business designing women's clothing and accessories, and was named Young Textile Designer Of The Year when he was just 13. He claims that he 'does not take no for an answer' when he wants something done.
David Odhiambo
A-level student David, who is 17, was born in Kenya but now lives in Luton. He spends much of his spare time doing volunteer work among the local community as well as teaching, and claims to be 'obsessed with wealth, power and omnipotence'.
Sean Spooner
16-year-old Sean is from Corby in Northamptonshire and is studying for BTECs in Double IT and eBusiness. He once had the accolade of being the world's youngest publisher after founding a magazine when he was 14.
Andrew Tindall
Huddersfield-born Andrew is 16 and currently studying for A-levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. He is a keen ukelele player and harbours ambitions to set up his own bio-technology company.
GIRLS
Lucy Beauvallet
French-born Lucy is 16 and was born in Paris but now lives in Brighton where she is studying for her A-levels. A keen baker, Lucy runs her own cake-making business but has ambitions to become a lawyer.
Navdeep Bual
16-year-old Navdeep, from Ilford in Essex, is studying for five A-levels, including Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Politics. The former head girl was previously the UK's Young Ambassador for the Global Campaign for Education, and has ambitions to work for the UN.
Amy Corrigan
A-level student Amy is 17 and lives in West Hampstead. She used to work in a fish and chip shop but currently earns a living as a waitress between studies and is also a keen rugby player. She says of her ambitions, 'I want to be right on top because there is nothing higher then the top.'
Maria Doran
Northern Irish A-level student Maria, 17, works in her father's hotel between studies as well as dabbling in online retail. She claims that despite being only 5'1 and angelic-looking she has 'the heart of a lioness'.
Ashleigh Porter-Exley
Ashleigh is 17 and hails from Swinton in South Yorkshire. A budding accountant who is also studying business and admin, she claims to be unlike any other candidate who has ever appeared on Young Apprentice.
Alice Smith
Farmer's daughter Alice, is from Lutterworth, Leicestershire, and between her A-level work she makes a living selling free-range eggs from the family farm as well as waitressing. She is also a keen golfer and is Junior Captain of the local club.
