mookieproof, Wednesday, 7 November 2012 21:30 (thirteen years ago)

in the UK fannypacks are called bum bags because fanny means vagina so that would just be very rude.

ENBB, Wednesday, 7 November 2012 21:31 (thirteen years ago)

in canada they're called sphincter sacs

though it's kind of oldfashioned now I think -- it was almost like saying cunt when I was a kid, I don't even know if anyone really sez it anymore?

iatee, Thursday, 8 November 2012 00:36 (thirteen years ago)

hipsters should reclaim the fanny pack

iatee, Thursday, 8 November 2012 00:37 (thirteen years ago)

Would have voted "yes". owned fanny packs manufactured by Vision Street Wear and Body Glove. This was like in 4th or 5th grade. We didn't call them fanny packs though. That happened around the time our moms and dads started wearing them. I can't remember what they were called though!

The first time I took my fanny pack out for a night on the town, I packed it full of personal hygiene supplies, like toenail clippers and foot powder. My best friend took me aside and corrected me and the next time it was like two lighters, a pack of cards, and some gum.

The lighters weren't for smoking though! They were for setting things on fire.

and re: "don't wear them on the butt side", yes they were absolutely work on the side of the butt. right side if you were straight, left side if you were gay, probably.
