Even the potentially good ones sound like parodies.

sometimes the plot summaries can be deceiving. movies that sound clever or exciting turn out to be awful, and stuff that sound boring or trite turns out to be amazing.

Those summaries make me want to never for the rest of my life see any movie that doesn't have Jason Statham in it.

Cast: Tyler Ross, Shareeka Epps, Georgia Ford, Eshan Bay, Leo Fitzpatrick, Danny Burstein.

It's Fred Melamed that sells me on the former. I want that dude to read the audiobook of my shit life one day.

oh i didn't catch the bujalski was playing. awesome. it's a period piece shot on modified video cameras, who amongst us does not love '80s vhswave period pieces.

So pumped for Stoker. Looks irresponsibly fun.

Yeah Last Stand was not good. Cautiously excited for the Carruth and the two Silva flicks.

In a World = pretty good. Melamed is great. Bell is not very likeable, which kind of makes the story fail to be as compelling as it should be. A little tired of seeing films about quirky manchildren/womanchildren lately. Zeitgeisty I know but enough..

Some pretty funny writing though.

Also Bell looks way too good/sexy for the role. She comes off as being too vain to genuinely make herself look less attractive to fit the part, instead just opting for "well this frumpy sweatshirt should do it."
