Thread for Windows 8 Phones and Tablets -- Nokia Lumia 920 etc.

Vaguely considering a Nokia Lumia since I'm due for an upgrade. I like a lot of things about my iphone but find it kind of useless for doing anything work-related. Anyone have thoughts?

Uh, this thread. I really like my Lumia 920 but it is my first ever smartphone, so I dunno if it's just me liking smartphones. It's superintuitive and pretty stable etc. Less apps available than for other stuff but that seems to be changing. Haven't really played around with being able to do spreadsheets on phone. Love the camera, livetiles etc.

a friend who works for nokia sent me a spare 900 for my teenkid as the screen on his lumia 700 cracked.
however, since the screen cracked, teenkid has got an old iphone4 from his g/f, so i'm going to keep it for myself (much to the jealous groove of the teenkid !)
after years of loving my old trusty nokia x3, i feel i am joining the modern world.
only downside is the size of the thing.
do people really use these as phones !
oh, and does the screen crack easily, or did my teenkid treat his with particular lack of love ...
other that these concerns, its a lovely piece of kit

i have an lg flip phone from 2009, but at this point an iphone 4 probably should be considered "old," or at least on its way out
