where you lay your head...

mike (ro)bott, Sunday, 22 September 2002 18:13 (twenty-three years ago)

You bed, me Tarzan!

Andrew L (Andrew L), Sunday, 22 September 2002 18:15 (twenty-three years ago)

I dont sleep in beds, i sleep in my cuddly purple net

vic (vicc13), Sunday, 22 September 2002 18:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Inviting...

No, seriously: ordinary double bed, sheets changed occasionally (often when expecting company), more pillows than usual - something about my asthma always made it easier to sleep in a higher position. Bedside table with alarm clock, drink, book and cassette player plus watch, keys and coins. Light above plain wooden headboard.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 22 September 2002 18:25 (twenty-three years ago)

mine is a single...three pillows, flanked by my book case...just a comforter usually since anything else is too hot. to be ditched in favor of futon at the first chance.

mike (ro)bott, Sunday, 22 September 2002 18:34 (twenty-three years ago)

the couch at the moment cause i have company using my bed

donna (donna), Sunday, 22 September 2002 18:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Queen sized, wood frame, great mattress, blue flannel cover for the main comforter, black headrest, utterly wonderful. Xmas gift from my parents about four years back, hurrah!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 22 September 2002 18:54 (twenty-three years ago)

standard school issue twin. black sheets. off white comforter. two pillows. one thick, one thin because it is better to have choices. my bed looks very chic with the solid contrasting colors. I bought my new sheets and comforter around the time that I got "Man Machine", so I was really considering getting a black and red combo. I couldn't find the right color red though.

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Sunday, 22 September 2002 19:09 (twenty-three years ago)

I just knew you'd have a "real" bed, Ned.

The floor under mine slopes towards the corner so I have to sleep backwards.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 22 September 2002 19:27 (twenty-three years ago)

A MESS!

who cares, Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:02 (twenty-three years ago)

I just knew you'd have a "real" bed, Ned.

Eh? I mean, cool and all, but why?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Mine is huge, so big I literally have to climb to get in. No headboard, just a giant mattress with white sheets and a silvery lilac colour, embroidered duvet cover. Plus about six pillows that spend most of their time on the floor.

Kim (Kim), Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:10 (twenty-three years ago)

A fab king size number with crisp white bed linen. I've also got a huge mosquito hanging over the bed purely for dramatic/romantic effect but which more often than not, proves impossible to escape from when trying to make a break for it during the night after a feed of beer.

Saskia, Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:18 (twenty-three years ago)

NET, huge mosquito net, ahem.

Saskia, Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:22 (twenty-three years ago)

No, I like the idea of the huge mosquito -- it's one of those things that gives a certain threat to whoever is in the bed with you. "Do well...OR ELSE."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:23 (twenty-three years ago)

haha that is good thinking - "I don't care how tired your jaw is - do you want me to release the mosquito?"

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:27 (twenty-three years ago)

The torture tools on my bedside locker serve that purpose Ned ;-)

Saskia, Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:28 (twenty-three years ago)

My bed!!! I love my bed. Very comfortable double bed with bright covers and pillows to go with my extremely brightly coloured bedroom. On the bed sits a picture of my old cat, her pillow, a big mental spacelike caterpiller and some other teddys. Also on my bed sits a book or two. Above my bed are pictures of my pets and on my bed sleeping usually is my cat Binx. Next to my bed is my CD player. In front of my bed is my TV and video. I don't think I could ever go back to a single bed.

Shaz, Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:31 (twenty-three years ago)

The torture tools on my bedside locker serve that purpose Ned ;-)

Saskia's inner life is now a source of wonder and amazement. ;-)

I like the sound of Shaz's bed because I like the fact the cat is named Binx.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:36 (twenty-three years ago)

lets just say my bed is not one to take a girl to.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 22 September 2002 20:52 (twenty-three years ago)

"lets just say my bed is not one to take a girl to."

haha now I finally have a nice bed... still working on the other end of the equation!

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Sunday, 22 September 2002 21:12 (twenty-three years ago)

spent most of the year in a sleeping bag on an ancient fold-out couch. head at the end of it so I could clamber out (the room was v. narrow). chair by the head of the bed with a lamp, books, stereo remote on it. had an old quilt for warmth.

Ess Kay (esskay), Sunday, 22 September 2002 21:41 (twenty-three years ago)

double. consists of two mattresses on top of one another. the lower mattress is holey and houses large spiders. there are slugs underneath it. i have a duvet and a sheet, three pillows and a hotwater bottle.

di smith (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 September 2002 23:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Full size, in white metal with a headboard. I have four pillows. And this may strike some as monotonous (or -chromatic), but I have white sateen sheets (bliss!) and a white blanket. My apartment building is so overheated during winter that I haven't gotten out my comforter since I moved in.

j.lu (j.lu), Sunday, 22 September 2002 23:39 (twenty-three years ago)

twin bed, the bottom wooden beams broke last year so it's not as sturdy as it should be but i'm not dead yet, cherrywood frame (i think from my grandmother's old house or something), very dented and carved from my childhood. One pillow and one little pillow. Sheets and one blanket (I can't wait for big thick blankets!).

Maria (Maria), Monday, 23 September 2002 00:28 (twenty-three years ago)

the title of this thread looks like "describe you in bed".

di smith (lucylurex), Monday, 23 September 2002 00:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Not like anyone could give a slightly accurate answer to THAT thread...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 23 September 2002 00:36 (twenty-three years ago)

That's what I thought it was called! Of course, I was getting ready to post "fantastic"...

Sean (Sean), Monday, 23 September 2002 02:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Well Sean i just made a thread where can say whatever you want about you IN bed, i cant link though cos i dont know how

vic (vicc13), Monday, 23 September 2002 02:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Bright red/yellow/turquiose/purple/red quilt with a bunch of matching pillows that are always on the floor, and it's by my window that looks out on my little deck garden, so I can see my flowers. A few years ago my rule used to be that my computer had to be reachable from bed, but I've since reversed that, and now I don't keep any electronics other than my cd player/alarm in the room.

lyra (lyra), Monday, 23 September 2002 03:01 (twenty-three years ago)

I sleep on stone...it seasy you see. I glow like a bastard bird.

Mike Hanle y (mike), Monday, 23 September 2002 05:09 (twenty-three years ago)

i am sure we had a bed-thread not too long ago! oh well mine is still a double futon (though i have put my big inflatable mattress on top of it as it was giving my back gyp) with colourful sheets. mmmmmmmmm bed!

katie (katie), Monday, 23 September 2002 11:39 (twenty-three years ago)
