ok come on we all have at least one thing we secretly like which is considered totally nerdy/silly/tasteless by everyone else on the planet.
i have a terribly overwhelming drive to watch those awful shows on stuff like 'Princess Diana - the real story' or some such thing. no matter how dreadful and brain-sucking i know it will be, i still make excuses, shut the curtains and pretend to be out if someone calls by, sitting there transfixed til its over.
then i go to bed all embarrassed and vow never to do it again.

any TV police procedural no matter how baroquely lame: i mock my mum and dad for watching eg RUTH RENDELL MYSTERIES but if you were to quiz me, oh dear!!

kinski (kinski), Sunday, 22 September 2002 21:56 (twenty-three years ago)

i don't have any secrets.

di smith (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 September 2002 23:37 (twenty-three years ago)

I have a weakness for ballroom dancing competitions. I don't seek them out, but once a year or so I stumble across one on tv, and am transfixed. Strictly Ballroom was only slightly exaggerated.

j.lu (j.lu), Sunday, 22 September 2002 23:41 (twenty-three years ago)

my shame is that i have no shame.

di smith (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 September 2002 23:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Reading The Thorn Birds repeatedly, and watching Coronation Street.

Mike Hanle y (mike), Monday, 23 September 2002 05:08 (twenty-three years ago)

tom carter (tomc), Monday, 23 September 2002 07:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Strictly Ballroom was only slightly exaggerated

Wait, both those things are in our press release! D'oh!

kate, Monday, 23 September 2002 10:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Shame? Today I pulled Disney's "The Lion King" from my video cabinet. Ok I love disney but I've not watched any of them in years. Honest. Anyway, I grabbed it from the cabinet because my sister and I disagreed to what the words of a song were. I started watching the film and without even realising it I was speaking each and every word. I even knew the words to the trailers. I'm so sad.

Shaz, Monday, 23 September 2002 16:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Do you guys think I am sad?

FLY ALL IS KNOWN!

Why is it when I google this I get nothing. I had in mind that it was quite famous. 'All is known, fly' only gets a couple too. Have I/Tom just got the wording wrong or is it in fact quite obscure?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 07:26 (twenty-three years ago)

actually my secret shame is that last night i watched "7th heaven". whats even more shameful is that after years of hatred for barry watson, i decided that if he wore dresses and knee high boots he would be one helluva fox.

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 26 September 2002 01:03 (twenty-three years ago)

In the Sherlocks Holmes story it is 'all is known fly at once' (I think).
