the other night i had one of those nights where you wake up at 3 a.m. and your mind is throwing rocks at stuff for two hours. i saw myself as a kid, watching a movie with my cousins. the movie starts and my attention wanders, then i remember i'm watching a movie. i didn't like watching movies as a kid, i was always playing behind the couch ten minutes after the tape started, or playing with my casio. i would still just about do anything other than watch a tv or a movie on tv, even if it's something i really want to see. going out to the theater to see something is ok, only if i really want to see it though.

i might have got a job assisting a very high profile american stage designer on two shows in europe. i went for an interview and she was great and loved my work and the production manager emailed me to ask for my phone number but i was up a ladder when he phoned and missed the call. i listened to the message which said don't phone me back until Xpm but when i did that he was out of the office and won't be contactable until the new year ffs.

i was at club try-angles tonight. there's a bartender who conforms to what i think of as a new local niche of goofy mormon boy as seen in a byu-produced tv spot--really tall and skinny with glasses, sort of napoleon dynamite crossed with the osmond brothers, but with tattoos (?). oh and shirtless, in december in the great basin. really bobbed to the trance when he gave me drinks.

i was with two friends who i fucking love, mauricio and nick, otherwise i wouldn't have enjoyed it.

I can't remember if I posted on the other thread abt this weird quasi-relationship drama I'm having (or had, rather) with this one (partnered and poly) guy who was way more into me than I was into him and was irratoinally jealous of his friend whom I was also seeing, but my friend is going through almost the exact same thing with someone else where it comes down to you telling someone things very directly over and over and them still not fucking getting it and then getting resentful. God, people are such a fucking chore sometimes.

If/when I am hospitalized I hope it will be in a loud-music positive ward. Between my grandma and my MIL I've been spending a lot of time around hospitals and care facilities this week. But my bf came back into town last night so we went to karaoke. Lots of kids. It was Mariah's birthday but only one person sang Mariah ("Fantasy"). I put my name in for "Speedin'" but had one glass of wine too many to remember the verses and chicken'd out.

guys, the best way to eat pizza is by making the Jet's delivery guy push it through your basement window - when you're 9 years old - and think that you and yr cousin are being clever and funny. (and then you guys should watch little monsters on vhs for the 500th time). ahh, pizza memories.
