i wanna check if this is true:
"According to a report on the British show Brainiac, some claw machines are configured so that four times out of five (or nine times out of ten) they'll deliberately grab the toy with a greatly weakened grip"

When I was a teenager the local arcade had some of these - I actually won three or four stuffed things for friends and then one day my streak ended cold. I assume they probably did something like Brainiac mentioned.

modern claw machines essentially pay out on a percentage afaik so the weakened grip thing is true

having said that, i once had a girlfriend who cd beat these things on the reg

One ATP there was a claw machine where the prize was a small handbag in the shape of a pair of frilly panties. I figured that I could make it my weekend mission to try to grab one, but actually got it on my third try.
