i saw it happen to someone at that awful wittnness festival. people who topple over portaloos = UTTER DUD. i've heard of it happening at glasto too.

who are you suing - the festival organisers? or the actual perps?

I don't think it happens anymore at Glasto now they keep the ruffians out. But I've heard that it's very common at Reading.

oh god yes, the famous one in 99 when I needed the toilet on the monday morning and "hilarious" pranksters had toppled all but one on the site.

I'm suing the organisers, not because I think it's their fault it happened coz they can't be responsible for 1 assholes actions, but because of the way they treated me afterwards. They wouldn't let me have a shower and I had no way to get clean, it was pretty horrific.

At the last day of Reading this year they had security guards outside the loos on the last night, which calmed things down. As I understand it they were twats (no going into the toilet area if you are wearing a hat? Pardon?), but I think it's probably worth it to not have them knocked over, or, like last year, set on fire

I think this is fair enough.

I was wearing a hat, I got pushed over, could there be a link?

Anonymous (Anonymous), Thursday, 26 September 2002 12:34 (twenty-three years ago)

If it was an incredibly heavy hat maybe it could have toppled you.

I don't understand "no hats" rules. "No festival hats" or "people in festival hats will be incinerated" make perfect sense, but a general no hats is weird.

It was only a wee hat. I'm still truamatised you know.
