What was yours like? Did you fancy him/her?

A search reveals only this thread what shaped your sexuality? really mentions them seriously so far.

Mine was known as "Franny", i can't recall her full proper name, but I remember thinking she was a pretty lady, especially when she was doing her Physics homework.

Does this include current babysitters?

Um, no comment.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 12:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Franny? You sure it wasn't Francis Lee babysitting you.

I was never babysat. I've sitted for a few tykes in their time.

Out of curiosity I just googled our old babysitter Kurt Giles and he has become an uber mega science geek! He should thank me & bro for being such good kids and quietly watching 321 then going straight to bed since clearly this allowed him to do his homework thereby laying the foundations for his grebt academic career. Imagine if we had been naughty children, he might be sweeping the streets now.

You are googling old babysitters? Are you even more bored than usual or are you a mentalist after all?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 12:45 (twenty-three years ago)

I had older sisters so I can't remember many babysitters. Rex Harrison's son gave us a puff of his cigarette. I think it was to show us how horrible it was.

actually she's a town planner!!

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 12:53 (twenty-three years ago)

we were too poor for babysitters. I think my parents either never went out or else left us to our own devices.

I am more bored than usual. This is what happens when there is a tube strike and no Metro. Anyway I thought googling people from one's past was standard practice?

Emma, Wednesday, 25 September 2002 13:13 (twenty-three years ago)

No Metro! I wonder if we have one up here today. I must try to get hold of one so I can fill you in.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 13:15 (twenty-three years ago)

I could see people carrying them from the bus so they have published in London today. I think brave Metro workers were handing out copies but god knows where. Nowhere near me. Sigh. I have Heat magazine instead though but its in depth exposé on Tom Cruise's Rome hotel room is not as gripping as Metro's Green Room column.

Emma, Wednesday, 25 September 2002 13:18 (twenty-three years ago)

WHAT IS GOING ON IN TOM CRUISE'S HOTEL ROOM?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 13:21 (twenty-three years ago)

He has rented luxurious twin penthouses, one to sleep / live in and the other is being converted into a private gym so he won't have to work out with the proles in the luxury hotel's own gym. The Michelin starred hotel restaurant has a chef who once worked for the Prince & Princess of Wales. He has a marble bath and antique furniture.

ANYWAY, babysitters....

The Green Room, modelled on... Jackie Harvey? http://www.onion.com/archive/archive_harvey.html

Alan (Alan), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 13:29 (twenty-three years ago)

never ever had a babysitter. Unless, you wanna include relatives?

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 13:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Pervert!

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 13:53 (twenty-three years ago)

no N. get your mind out of the gutter. sheesh!

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 14:08 (twenty-three years ago)

N's interest in La Kidman explained more satisfactorily now.

Tim (Tim), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 14:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Hello, I'm back from holiday.

One babysitter (who would also bring her own kids round) made us cover the TV with a blanket because she didn't approve of it and obviously thought her little angels would be corrupted by the very SIGHT of the thing. Pure unadulterated MENTALISM.

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 14:11 (twenty-three years ago)

What, I really want Tom? That's preposterous.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 14:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Never had babysitters that I can recall, probably because my parents never went out. And I have never been asked to babysit anyone else, which increases my faith in people's judgement.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 17:06 (twenty-three years ago)

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 17:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 17:18 (twenty-three years ago)
